There's a new version (0.7) of the Pit Lane Penalty app here: http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/a-pit-lane-penalty-app-for-repeated-track-cutting.17852

Please download this before next Tuesday's race.

Recent changes include:
  • Tells you how many laps you have left to take your penalty (you have 3 laps to take it in).
  • Now detects high speed cuts that may take longer than 1.3 seconds (e.g. at Spa's Eau Rouge). If you leave the track at over 60% of the car's top speed and don't slow down before re-entering the track, a cut is registered.

haha, we're down to the lotus for Monza!  That's great, no chance of achieving anything significant there :)

Spa's nearly as long and fast as Monza.

There's a hefty difference there IMO.

i.e. see the fezza gt2  (I've taken the laptimes where a lot people seem to be)
Spa 7 km  laptimes around 2:18
Monza 5.8km, laptimes around 1.49

IMO 30s is a huge difference on a ~2 minute lap :)

Yeah, I suspect there's an element of setup here, too.  I'm not sure how many of the fezza or the merc drivers here created good setups that suit spa, or how many will do it for monza.
In this regard single makes with ballast would be much better (while not perfect) :)

I ran some laps in the Evora the other day and running a very low downforce setup its not giving up any top speed away to the GT2 cars actually quicker at 267kmh for me vs the top RSR times in the GT2 cars with speeds around 264 to 266kmh. Surprisingly its the GT3 cars that have the higher top speeds here able to get to 275kmh but most are doing over 271 in the top few times. Its not the straight line speed that hurts it its the lack of cornering grip so to get the most out of the other cars people will need to push harder in the corners. You can go the other way with setup in the Evora and make it nice in corners but slow down the straight, it just wont be very competitive.

You have a strategic choice to make...
“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”

I've done a 1:50.0 in the Merc on mediums.

Dunno about you guys but I can't stand the GTC. Every time I brake it tries to spit me off the track.

Its very skatey for me at Monza, I cant quite brake on the outside edge of the track as it may drop a wheel in the dirt as it squirms to a stop. You can always add lots of aero to help but in terms of the evora a stable car is a slow car.  ;D
