Is Bacchulum A Dickhead?
« on: October 11, 2013, 01:26:22 PM »
The back story:

On Monday I turned on my 60" Samsung TV of 8 months of age to find an entire row of pixels AWOL.
In my rage I immediately went into warranty mode to get it replaced ASAP.
Organised the day (today) to have them come around, no problem.

BUT, the people that came today are only here to take my TV and confirm the problem.
They then file a report and someone else is then instructed to deliver (I hope) the replacement.

So now I have no TV on Bathurst 1000 & Suzuka F1 weekend.

Dead set dickhead I reckon.

Go hire one, or buy a back up.

Thought I'd be tough and go without. 8)

Lasted about 2 hours, now running around like a blue-arsed fly looking at rentals. :o
Radio-Rentals have a min. of 1 month, waiting for a reply on 1 week for a 42".

No fore-thought at all........ ::)

Saved.
A mate's doing reno's so his lounge room is out of action (a work site to be precise) so I'm going to 'look after' his TV for a week.
It's his 'small' one (40") but it's better than nothing (trust me, I now know empirically). 8)
A short-term rental, ie. one week, was going to cost $250, and no pick up until Monday (so no point seein' as it's for Bathurst & F1)

I'm still a dickhead for telling them to take it that weekend, but it's a win in the end. ;D

They couldn't source my model TV, so I get the next one up, a Samsung Smart, 60" 3-D TV with voice command!
I was looking at the 50" version of this one when I decided to go with the cheaper, 60" model (that broke).
So now I have the 60" at $500 less than the 50"!
Gotta call that a win! ;D ;D 8)
