Gonna be tough in the Abarth, being around 10% off the pace. ;D

Does not bode well for me, I was just staying ahead of Phil with me in the MX5 during a quick run yesterday. Felt like he could pass me at any time he wanted.  That Abarth is quick on the straights!

Was a good race up to the point of disconnect with 7 laps to go  :'(

Up to that point I planned on finishing a one stopper softs then hards which would have been touch and go on tire life, poor Phil was bearing the brunt of tire conservation driving, sorry Phil  ;D Overall I'm glad we doing these cars, its hard work but really satisfying.

Team Maki will be supplying SNRL Racing Team with cars for the coming season, with the understanding that they should not hold up any of the factory team cars of course  :P

Hey Wally.
I know you're fudging history with the refueling but can we lose the tyre blankets?
They're not that hard on cold tyres and it adds a bit more spice. ;)

Pthhh Tire blankets probably cost more than the total budget of the Maki GP team for 1975  ;D

Cheers. I've actually done 2 or 3 hours on them already. Again, I'm still a bit of a sim racing noob...and I don't have any real racing experience either.
I'm really impressed by the lap times many of you guys have done. Guess seat time and knowledge about how to set up a car pays off.
So I'm not blaming the cars  :)

For me increasing the rear ARB made the car a lot more stable with better grip out of corners. But yes the car seems very sensitive to setup, more so than many other cars and there are no electronic aids to help. So stealing one of the alien's setup will be a good idea, Bacchulum''s setups are usually good  ;)

Guess a Maki for me  8)

Had a pretty short race last night...a slight contact with Simone's rear wheel ended my race.
Sorry Wally, think I jumped the gun a bit by signing up for this season without even having tested the 75's.
These cars and my driving skills aren't a good match...no fun for me...so I better make my spot available for someone else.
Have a great season :-)

Ah come on Killa, just do a few laps practice and you would love it!

but I didn't feel like doing a full race blue flagged

There where no blue flags in 1975 as far as I know, so don't actively defend but no need to jump out of the leaders way  ;D

Enjoyed the race, not quite as lonely as the Ferrari test. And it certainly paid  to be accurate and deliberate with the gear changes, no flat shifting!

A slight touch to Kcender (sorry) on the first lap left me some way behind the pack struggling to catch up, the soft tires was definitely a help on full fuel. Pitted early hoping for an under-cut which did not eventuate. But spend 17 laps chasing Wally, slowly reeling him in by 0.2s per lap just hoping his soft tires would fail before the hard tires I chose during the pit stop. But just as I finally got by Wally I picked the wrong side of a spinning car (Keith?  :P ) to give the spot back to him.   Fun race

Did a few laps around Monza and its a blast. The car is fairly easy to control as long as one remember to brake early enough, drum brakes and marie biscuit wheels makes for slow retardation.

Maybe we should use the Lotus 25 for Tuesday  season?   ;D
It was part of a poll once, if I remember correctly.

From memory we tested the cars on quite a difficult mod track which may have scared people away from the car?
Rouen. It wasn't really that difficult, quite flowing.

Except for the part where trees jumped in front of the car, not so flowing then!

Just an idea I had after last nights very enjoyable racing.
Make Thursday nights FUN racing a no points series.
Just run say 6-10, 10 lap races, random grid, with just a few minutes between races to experiment with setups.

The short races was good but would still like points. Us lesser drivers would never have a chance of winning a sheep-station prized Tuesday season but with Flattops Thursdays we all have a chance of competing for a championship  ;D

That's  a shame Roo, you missed out on some brilliant racing.

I did miss some good racing :'( :'( :'(

It was good! No idea where Bacchulum and Phil got the extra speed from. Mid 57's were really impressive laptimes.

Forgot to ask, who was Daniel S? He looked like having the pace to keep Kcender honest!
