Well according to VirtualiRacing

Quote
Team Pure has released a new video trailer their Mazda Miata for Assetto Corsa modding project that is now nearing its first release.

The video shows the 1995 Mazda Miata 1.8 in action on various tracks, also allowing us to listen in on the car’s sounds.

Lets hope the stock 1.8 can match it with the GTA and Minis 1.3... and Away we go!

If done right, this will be a great little car for some fun races.  A bit like the M235i as far as close racing goes I reckon.

Mazda Cup?
Yep good idea, I am hoping we can get a couple of cars at this level /fun to have mixed races with some variety too.

I'm not holding my breath for the physics though.  The only decent physics for a mod(s) have been done by David Dominguez.  All others have been rubbish IMO.

Fingers crossed.

Would love a series for these, but like you said... physics will tell all.

Actually not all others have been rubbish, that may have been an over reaction to the Formula Corsa cars.  The Nissan BTC or whatever it was was pretty good

The Nissan Primera, I guess you mean. Yes, that's a good car.

get mod here

http://www.virtualr.net/mazda-miata-assetto-corsa-1-0-released

Sound fix here
http://assettocorsamod.com/sound-fix-for-mods-after-1-1-5-update/

I gave it a bit of a run at Nords fun bet very slow car, still tricky to get a laptime out of it but should provide some good close side by side racing.

It might be better on somewhere like Vallelunga-club or Silverstone-national (if that's the short one?).

It might be but its going to be at nords tonight. Its an awesome track and great in any car we also never run it on league nites when it would be more fun to drive and race then mam was or many other tracks

Wtcc race there too now along with vln multiple times a year and the 24hr race each year. Nords is actually a better race track in slower cars as you can pass people in many more sections that are too sketchy at speed.

They can also be ran at other tracks on other nites and going by how they drive I think they could quite easily end up as a thursday nite league car. Its slow so you need to carry lots of speed but still tricky under braking and on downshifts so its not easy but doesnt do any weird stuff that I found yet.

Racing in slower cars also tends to bring better racing but I dont see why people only want to drive slow cars on small tracks and fast cars on big tracks. I like to race anything at all types of tracks and at least nords is a fun drive even if you dont have anyone close, but with larger fields starting further back can be a fun challenge to try and get through as many as possible.
