I joined OK. Didn't do any laps but I joined OK.+1
I found an excellent doco covering the history of Can-Am.
Some of the extremes even surprised me (9+l V8 in a 690kg car, ON CROSS-PLIES!!!)
It even has insights from the great innovator himself, Jim Hall.
If you enjoy pre-regulation racing (well, almost), check it out.

I just tried to do that but got a strange crash. What's a good lap time for this track? We'll see when people put some laps in on the practice server:
Where it normally says "loading....(car x, track, etc)", it said "problems during checksum" then a window with "game crashed".
Began the tradition of spraying Champagne. At Le Mans, no less.
And weren't the French horrified at that act.
All American Racers, his wife Evi and the Gurney family issued the following statement:
I think there are 2 V1.0 versions. Friday one and Tuesday one. The Tuesday one being the latest.Turns out, I had croft v1.0 when I needed croft 1.0.

Like I said, everyone is different.Try to remember, Godzilla, everyone has different braking points (hence why some people are faster than others).
There's a very good chance only you weren't braking there, so you were the odd one out.
Or maybe not.

Just by my first look, the re-pass may have been unintentional.
They look like they've just dropped the right side onto the grass at the braking point, which would've made pulling it up pretty difficult.
But if that's not the case, they went in far too hot to maintain the inside line, making it a dive-bomb.
