I'll post my setup tonight, or add it to the practice server. I haven't had a single mysterious spin.Spins aren't my issue, I can control the power on oversteer (thanks to Can-Am ).
It's turn in that I find unpredictable.
One lap I turn in and nothing happens and I miss the apex by a metre or two.
Next lap, same turn in point and it grips up, responds and I'm into the tyre bundle inside the apex.
I suspect it's braking related, as I have to turn the sensitivity right up on my brake pedal to get the ABS to kick in, or I'm just not using the full potential of the retardation available.

I don't think I've disliked a car as much as this one. I did no practice because I hate driving it, but then that means I can't drive it at all for the race. Usually a car I don't really like I can still have fun with in a race but not this one.+1

Turns out that another sim I was playing around with had set the wheel sensitivity to 540. Ruined that magic AC steering feel, especially with this Caterham. Reset to 1080 and all is back to normal. Phew!See, I'm faithful to AC, I don't have "other sims" on the side.
What's the odds on Phil punching out a 62 or better?I would've had Phil for 61, except he'll be at the GP, I believe (the reason for the fun run).
But he does normally have a crack on Wednesday, so maybe......
Afore mentioned setup(s).I woke up this morning (@0430) with Prof. Julius Sumner Miller in my head (alongside a hangover) saying, "Why is it so?".
The only explanation I could think of was exit traction outweighs apex speed.
So I spent the day exploiting that idea and the fruits of my labour is a 63s.
Here's my new, logical. setup:
Afore mentioned setup(s).
Theoretically the Assym should be quicker, as you can achieve higher minimum apex speeds.
But, the Tite set is more stable and gives confidence to push on entry and exit.
So it's horses for courses.
They're for the Kurtis but I think all the cars physics are the same, so it should transfer (I hope, g0d can confirm).
A wise man once said anything before a "but" is bullshit, I set my best time with the Tite set
Why is this free?
Visually, the cars are all unique and flawless.
I've only driven three cars so far, the Shadow, Brabham & Hesketh, but all are different.
Doing base setups for each car (aero CP, tyre pres., camber) each came back with different requirements (except for tyre pres., that was pretty standard across all 3, +/- 1 psi).
And each felt different to drive, as you would expect.
But my times in each were within one second.
As good as RSS's Formula 79, but that's one car (different liveries) and 3.99 euro.
Here, you get 15 cars!!
Like I said, I'm confused......
didn't get caught but yes, it would've been worth it.
