Assetto Corsa / Re: What do you drive in real life?« on: April 18, 2015, 07:36:14 PM »
I have an e30 325i, a e34 540i and a VX commonwhore for when the other two are broke (all the time).
It was really surreal using a friends occulus and trying the e30 in game. Felt just like sitting in my car except I was in the left seat 2

Yeah - how about at the track? I'm prepping my e30 for a couple track days at barbagallo. Gonna try this whole racing thing in real life. The 540 is a bit of a mess at the moment. Might be a while until its right (manual). 4

Haven't raced in a while as I've been equally as busy...buying a BMW 540i (among other things). My tuesday's (and thursdays) will clear up pretty soon, CramDick Racing might make a return!? 5

I'm gonna have to pull out of this season fellas. Taken on a new role at work and won't be able to reliably make it to each race. Chuck me on the reserves list and if it lines up one or two weeks, great.
Happy racing, y'all! 6

Sorry guys I'm gonna have to give this one a miss. I seem to be having major internet issues at home and don't want to ruin anyone elses race with warping or lag. I've got a new router/switch under the tree so should all be sorted for next year! Have a safe and fun Christmas & New years and I'll see y'all soon

Yeah for the short while I let my friends on Marty's server I saw no jumping or anything which is promising as I am normally 'one of those guys'.
I actually struggled in the f40! I found it really snappy - maybe I went to aggressive on the setup? Lots of fun at spa though, those long flowing corners are great edit: maybe I'd had too many beers. Had a shot last night and it was very controllable - as long as you manage the turbo it's loads of fun 9

Just hopped in for some practice and have been called back into work. Sorry for the absolute last minute notice!
I know given the number of pit bays there may not be any reserves but if there is I hope they get my spot Sorry folks, see y'all next week. 11

I had loads of fun. With the PC and net issues sorted it was great to be running somewhat competitively. The back of the pack is racing very clean now from what I've seen so it makes for a lot of fun even when you're not at the front.
A general lack of practice (car, track & wallys app) made for some silly mistakes but I really enjoyed the racing See y'all next week! 12

I can't see myself on the car list! I assume because I didn't set enough hot laps to get a good sample? I'll hopefully have all my pc issues sorted for next race so should I just use the Mclaren again?

I was having horrible FPS issues and also intermittent lag. Down the straights I had a solid 140 fps but through corners it would drop below 30. After dropping all my settings to medium (I used to run everything on ultra high except AA) it was somewhat okay.
First race I got lag-bumped and shunted on the first lap when someone behind warped into me. Nobodys fault but I had to go into the pits and ended up a lap down. Not wanting to hold anyone up I bailed in the hope I could sort out my lag/gfx problems. Second race I got into to qualy with 3 seconds left. Starting from the back I ended up coming through the turn 2/3 incident and getting a tap ending up in the gravel. FPS dropped to 10-20 and I started warping so bailed. Every other game I play works just fine, no problems. I'll try find a graphics setup that works for me and get a new modem (still no upgrade ). Hopefully next race is kinder! 14

Thanks, Bird. I'll be in the Mclaren too since I missed last weeks race. I'll give this setup a shot tonight and see how I go. 15
