Wally, I'm not into skinning so if you could assign any default skin that would be great.

Hi Wally, my PC held together last night so I would like to give the season a go. So if there is room count me in, I'm happy to be a reserve if you already have a full grid.
Seeing as I'll be running around towards the rear of the grid I'll give the Merc AMG SLS some love. 363

Hi Wally, I have not entered the GT3 Comp as I am not sure how my PC will go with the large entry list and varied car selection. This will give me a chance to try it out.
If all goes well and there is space for one more I "might" be a starter for the official season rob 364

I feel your pain Wally.
You are on a really good PB lap and you know you got to keep pushing, but how hard to push that last sequence of corners. Leave the breaking till the last possible moment and ....... oopsie, not quite that late. Been there done that, wasted another 8 minutes of my life I've got my pc back together again with some better parts so if all goes well, and there is room on the grid, I might even give next Tuesday a try. rob 366

Andrew/Phil/Joe, (Bruce)
Hey guys I have upgraded my old computer (made of crappy 2nd hand parts) and built a better computer (made of less crappy 2nd hand parts) and if there is room on the grid would like to try it out on Thursday. I am hoping to finally try out the Cat in MP. I am still having some problems, so will probably be rear of the field so as to not ruin the last race of the season. Cheers guys rob 367
Real Life Motorsport / Re: Rob Roy Hillclimb 2015« on: September 28, 2015, 03:31:41 PM »opps sorry Rob, reading without comprehending 100% No Bruce, I used to go there quite regularly many years ago to help a mate but I've seen too many cars come to grief there driven by old fools who should know better. There is next to no margin for error. Just a bit of trivia, back in the 70's I saw Peter Holinger (before he became famous for making his awesome gearboxes) compete in a round of the Aust Hillclimb Championships there. He was up against a number of F5000 beasties in his home made twin engined VW hillclimb special. That thing annihilated all comers. 368

Great stuff Bruce, looks like good fun.
The hill climb track we have up here in Brisbane is at Mt Cotton and it is treacherous by comparison. Much prefer your setup. 369

Hey Joe (make a good name for a song), I tried with 15 AI opponents but starting from the rear of the grid it was pretty much a slide show and the FFB felt a bit wonky also.
Thanks mate for trying to help, appreciated. 370
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Season 9 Sign up and Details: Formula Renault 3.5« on: September 24, 2015, 09:13:42 AM »I'm afraid I'm out for this Season Wally, as my poor old computer continues to give me Runtime Errors when trying to race on-line with the FR3.5 I'm still running 32 bit Wally so RAM is already maxed out. I know its time for an upgrade, but that's not even on the horizon at present. 371

Like the Caterham Mod it crashes as it loads the cars. I am pretty sure its memory related as both mods run OK off-line in Hotlap mode. Good racing and have fun guys. 372

Great racing at the back of the field with Joe and Robert until AC crashed again!! It looks like my old pc is really struggling to cope with the rigors of AC. But great fun while it lasted. Thanks guys.

That's a shame Steve. I've tweaked the FFB a little with my G25 and I don't think it's ever felt better. if there's any thing we can do to help just give a shout.
But I know how you feel. I continue to have issues with the Caterham and in the end it just drains all the joy of the it and its just not worth the hassle. Hope to see you back soon. 374

No problems Bruce, I'd rather you guys have some fun.
Anyway I have a VERY modest version of the real thing that I can take out any time I want. 375

Thanks so much for taking the time to do the video GB. Its great to see how it should be done. Unfortunately being a rather slow mortal it probably won't help me that much but still a great vid.
Thanks |
