Just did a flying lap.
Came in a bit hot into the parabolica.

Scary thing is, i'm probably not wearing a seat belt.

Good fun. With h shifter and clutch, I struggled with downshifts, which caused a few mishaps. I might give auto blip a try, although the BMW is a lot more forgiving on the gearshifts.

Sorry about the hits on Rob and SpeedFreak in the Ferrari. The SpeedFreak hit was a sloppy track re-entry on my part.

No probs Wally, T1 at Monza was always going to be ....... interesting. ;)

I had a great night. Seeing MP is still Alpha, AC shows great promise for the future. We desperately need "drafting", hopefully will be implemented soon.

Thanks for organizing Wally.

Wow i got points?? lol

Well obviously I had the worst cars! They where slow in the fast bits, too fast in the slow bits. too straight in the turny bits and wanted to turn in the straight bits!! I think it was sabotage!!

Besides, using a keyboard only...  ;)

Ok seriously, I had a blast and was laughing a lot. Even at how bad i was doing. I knew I would be off the pace but geez you guys are fast!
I put it down to being a bit wasted and a lack of experience.
That was my 1st ever sign race.
AC is my 1st ever SIM... I've played Gran Tourismo for a while a long time ago, but that is arcade really.

So really a good estimate to my entire SIM experience is:

975 laps recorded by Dick Forrest with RSR Live Timing
5901 km recorded by Dick Forrest with RSR Live Timing

I've got more excuses if pushed :)

Thanks guys, i hope I wasn't in the way too much! It was a learning experience for sure. I was in 9th there for maybe a lap (after the chaos at the 1st chicane) but choked and went off.
I really did have a blast. I even broke my PB in both cars a few times so that's also great.
just gotta be consistent.

Thanks Wally for organizing!!

Well done Dick, hehe they are FAST aren't they! Man I have been doing this for a long time, it always impresses me how fast the boys are.
Had a ball too and it appears we had the same cars delivered to our teams :)

All though i must say the quality of AC makes for an enjoyable race from any position even down the back.
Hey GW your words are ringing in my ears
Quote
We (GW & FT) should have close racing...
If we can both gain some consistency along with Roo and a couple of others we will have a ball!
See you all on the track, will endevour to knock up a skin for my BMWs in time for ROUND 1!

Great field, pleasing to see new racers as well as the old, a big 'tick' to you Wally

Loved the lotus49, will look forward to season in that. Will be great when drafting comes into play, spent very little time in the Ferrari but had fun none the less.
Good racing against Marty and Simone in race one. Race two sorry to anyone that I may have touched but yer, thats one car I would not like to get into in real life. You seem to get into trouble rather quickly. Wouldnt like to have seen my gearbox oil after race 2.

Was good fun as always, had some good battles in the first race then trying to catch the leaders but ran out of talent a few times  :) Really need to put in a few more laps in those cars as they were more fun then I expected. Good fair driving all round and some real quick guys up front that help push me on quite a bit.

Second race I was all over the shop missed way too many gears especially trying to make moves into 1 braking at 150m in neutral doesn't work in the 312T just a tip for others as I tried twice and luckily I entered so quick I didnt hit anyone either time.

You really should get a wheel.  It will make the game so much more fun and your times would tumble down.  You can find a G27 for around $250 these days.  They even had them on Catch of the Day for $200 a little while back.
