It's been interesting watching the fastest lap times on the practice server. First Joe, then Guybrush, then Phil.

Seems to have a good correlation between laptimes and laps done as well, well until you get to my time  :-[
Getting the fastest lap time is a good strategy - the safest place is going to be out in front!
Or, I think I might cruise around at the back, like on a sunday drive hoping for a Steven Bradbury finish . . . :) :)

I am not consistent around here and will most likely end up following Gb and Kcender and probably others around trying to keep it on the track for 13 laps

Monaco 66 is not on the track list, from my short tests it seemed fine except the ai was a bit wonky
Do you have a link?
I don't have the 66 version and haven't come across one. :(
Can't remember where I found it, I'll share it tomorrow unless you find it first

race 1 and 2 I just had bad luck and kept running into spinning cars

race 3 was great; had a really good battle with AGK including going around the T2 hairpin side by side a couple of times. Unlucky you spun off AGK as I was enjoying it. After that I closed in on Mael but it's so hard to make a pass anywhere so just sat right behind him trying not to run in to him in his slow ass car

Man that was fun, but probably my worst night of racing. I think I hit 3 or 4 different people.  Sorry to anyone I collected.

Not a great night for me. Too many hits on walls, collisions with hay bales, and that dropped lap in race 1 that saw me blue flagged when I was actually fighting for position. I let one car (Rob) through under blue flag, but then thought "Hang on, where did I go a lap down?".

Race 2 was a shocker. I was driving like a peanut, hitting walls, going off track and spinning and breaking my car due to the Ferrari bug, so I quit and came back in and followed a few guys a lap down.

Race 3 was good fun though.

The only plan tonight was to survive.  A PB in qualifying saw me still starting mid pack which highlighted my tentative approach
to this track!  Unfortunately in R1 and R2 I had tangles on both opening laps.  R1 saw Mael give me a small tap at T3, and I moved slightly
right off the start grid to bang wheels with a fast starting Wally in R2 which saw me at the back for both races.
However as I carefully avoided many other peoples incidents I managed to get home with the car in one piece in P9 for both.
R3 saw a much cleaner start and a P8 finish, but I like many had my share of hay bails and hairy moments, but a conservative
approach saw an overall 7th for the night which with the crazy times some were achieving, I was pretty happy with.

Hm...there wasn't a single person in race 2 who did not have contact :)

Congratulations to Phil on the round win and Bird on the podiums.  And to KCender, but he is always too bloody quick!

It was really enjoyable when racing in a bunch, I just couldn't really guage when someone was going to be slower or faster at various parts of the track which led to a few taps.

Interestingly, the Ferrari seemed faster in the tight twisty bits but lost out on the straights.  Particularly the last sector compared to the Lotus and Brabham or whatever Phil was driving.  Made for good yo-yo racing.

Interesting findings Seanus. That explains why I'm not winning the championship. We'll just put up with it for 1 more round. Okayama is much more forgiving.

The night started good with a solid 8th place qualifying. But a innocuous little touch with my team mate followed by a vicious attack by Joe on my poor Honda  meant the first race was a disaster, finished many laps behind the aliens. (Absolutely nothing do do with the terrible driving on my part  ;D)

The next two race were much better, just tried to stay out of trouble. Ended up getting the most consistent lap times for the two races which makes me wonder what everyone else was doing!
