For everyone's amusement, how not to enter the pits at this track ;D

I'll take a Holden ute, with the skin "VB" if possible. Thanks.

I just saw this. I've got a large pack of these from a while back which I don't use, I can send one or two over if you still need any.

They're a common and cheap bathroom scale 50kg load cells / strain gauge. I had intentions of making a DIY load cell mod to some G29 pedals which I never got around to.

Could be close.
But the SSD is slow, the HDD is slow, and there was the CPU overheating issue.
All 3 failing simultaneously, or the bit they're all connected to?

Are you running both SSD and a traditional HDD together?

A connected failing drive can cause a slow boot even if it's not the boot drive. If possible, try booting SSD-only with the HDD not connected?

Something like CrystalDiskInfo can be used to view disk drive information to see reported errors.

If we end up racing the Supercars, do you want to run Australian circuits even if they might be a bit old and crappy? Or would you rather prefer to use better quality tracks?

A world tour on good quality tracks would be really great.

Results are up.

Congratulations to Freezer on the round win.

Congratulations also to AGK, who has been slowly but steadily moving up the all time rankings here. He's currently sitting at #13 in the all time rankings.

Thanks Wally, I'm glad I could make it on the first page  :D

Assetto Corsa Competizione / Re: Off-Line Lap Times

I was just reading this, it might be handy for recording lap times and comparing cars using telemetry + Motec software.

https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/acc-blog-motec-telemetry-and-dedicated-acc-workspace.165714/

I haven't tried it myself though.

...., then tried to pull back onto the track and it just went into a crazy spin until the right rear went.

This seemed to happen to some peeps at Imola too. I haven't had it happen to me and I can't think of what is causing it. You're in the Ferrari Joe? Has it only happened to members in this car?

The hay bales are sticky like the walls in Imola, maybe that has something to do with it?

Race 2 was a disaster. I got tapped off at parabolica, then got aught in Bird's crash, with heavy steering damage. I thought I might be able to keep driving, but it was too wobbly in the corners, so I pitted for repairs. Then, on my outlap from the stop, I was letting a lapping car past by staying low on the banking, but they drifted down into me and spun me again. Not a great race, but strangely I had the most consistent lap times.

Sorry, that was me that took you out at the banking.

My Lotus never liked the bumps on the high side of that first banking, the second banking was okay, and I'd been avoiding the high side of that turn all night. I saw you coming out of the pits and stay on the inside, so I thought I'll take a chance this one time on the high side to pass and give you plenty of room - I did think about coming low and making a risky close pass.  Unfortunately it didn't end well, even with all the anticipation of the unsettling and preparing to catch it, I hit the bump and my car instantly speared off down the banking right while you were next to me  :-[

Thanks for the racing.

Fun but eventful race for me.

Qualifying, didn't make a single clean lap, so was positioned to start at the rear.

But I never made it to the start line for race 1, my game locked up as the race was about to start and I had to quit and rejoin, when I rejoined about 40s of the race had already passed. Made up quite a few positions before crashing head on into a fence, surprisingly car was still okay and managed to finish 9th without pitting - picking up one position (AbleArcher) at the final corner.

Race 2 'Bradbury' win was a lot of luck with faster guys in front of me crashing out, and avoiding the Eau Rouge pile up and trying to stay consistent. Fun racing with Joe behind me most of the race putting on the pressure and he almost caught me right up to the finish line.
