Fun Run: 7-7-2016

Could I suggest a test run after the end of this season at Paul Riccard WTCC layout in the MTX and the MX-5 Cup.

MTX this week, unless you want both cars at the same time

Let's focus on testing the MTX to see if it is good enough for a season.

I have started using RSR and "Friends Leaderboard" to see if we can get an indication of target laptimes. Robin has posted some times as well.

Time is currently in the 1:38s....Phil will probably be in the 1:35s!!! Unless the new pedals make him slower that is???  8) 8)

Perhaps this car will level the playing field a bit though???

Quote from @Bacchulum aka the openwheeler master...

"The MTX is a nice, stable car. Easy to push, a bit under powered per grip, but has that historic feel to it. 8) "

Which is highly possible :)

Finally have them mounted and setup and ready to see if i can drive with them.  Just feeling them without driving though they feel pretty amazing

Isnt your practice server running stracker? there is no better way of comparing times.

Nah, it isn't. RSR is pretty limited too. Wish there was a "liveracers" type of app for AC.

This is one of those cars I'm hopeless in. Back to fighting for last place.. ::)

Why dont you guys run stracker then, RSR is fairly useless now since it shows nothing but laptime and speed. It used to show more before but it was wrong anyway lol so I guess no data is better then made up data. That friends app is even more useless as it shows nothing but time and only in hotlap sessions. People can turn off penalties or run whatever and so comparing times there is even more useless.

Stracker ptracker does everyhing needed especially if running your own server. But maybe the server Phil is using is not an open instance like the Amazon option others use and so he cant actually add plugins to it in which case you need sone other alternative.

RSR and Friends Leaderboard is good enough for what we want. It's just good to get an idea of laptimes.

I would also appreciate if some ghost files were posted. Here's mine for a 1:38.xx.

I gave these cars a little run here, they seem ok and racing could be a bit of fun in them. Kind of like a kart with wings for looks more then functionality  ;), I would upload my ghost Gratulin but I have never used one and tried to find where they may be saved with no luck.

Personally I would find a ghost terribly distracting and using a simple delta works very well when trying to improve a lap time. If you can tell me where the ghost is stored I can put it up if it saves them even when disabled.

It is definitely too distracting if you don't use "Ghost Advantage". I find them a good learning tool with Ghost Advantage set to 1sec. I then chase my own shadow  8)

Limitation is that they are only saved in hotlap session I believe. They are in Assetto Corsa > GhostCar > "track name".

To "share a ghost" you need to save to the track folder and change drvier name to your own driver name.
