I am getting lots of understeer here, difficult to work out aero cause it seems like a fast track, but car doesn't steer around the corners
It looks like the cambers all drop away from the inside of corners which is why it doesn't seem to have grip.........................I think. I haven't tried it yet, but it may be beneficial to go with an asymmetrical setup because from memory the fast corners are nearly all right handers

I clouted the barriers a few times of my own accord, but nothing too major, but it did give me some aero damage, which I reckon shaved a few k's off my top speed down the straight. Apart from a few minor impacts, I survived well and got into a nice rhythm by the end.
The best racing was the close early laps around Russ and Keith, trading a few positions due to mistakes. I finished with comfortable gaps to Russ in front and Doobs behind, so no pressure.
I was chasing you earlier after hitting the barriers and getting wing damage. I was catching you too, until the front suspension just broke and put me into the wall. I had to pit and lost a ton of time. That was worth the wait, it was fun racing on a great circuit. I finally put a decent lap in on the last one to leave me happy...ish.

3 and a half hours practice, yet to finish a lap  I am concerned how I am going to do 7 laps in an hour
I had to go offline with 0% to finish laps, but I did manage about 3 without contacts that would have caused damage. It's the first two that really cause me problems. I'm going to try again sometime today on the server. Once you do two it actually feels easier............and then you miss a brake point.

Offline I did 4 timed laps (that didn't count because I had little off tracks) and the fuel estimator says I can do 8 laps with 100 litres fuel. The tyres (Hard) might not make it in good nick. They'll be struggling for the last lap or two. I reckon the tyre situation will make it interesting.

The practice server is set to 1x tyre wear and fuel rate, and in the interests of people being able to work out a pit strategy, I'll leave it at that for the race too. I haven't tested those multipliers myself, but being only a 7 lap race, it feels more right. Maybe it means you won't have to pit at all - I don't know. If anyone tries it and finds some disastrous consequence, let us know.
If I ever get past a warm-up lap I'll let you know. lol

WooooHooo!!!!!! Let's see if I can do a timed lap. I seem to be alright at doing 8/10th distance on a warmup, but either screw up before the long straight, or just after and damage the car.

Shitish night Missed the start incident, but couldn't get past Fly and got jumped by about three cars. Then got caught up in one of their accidents. No biggie, just frustrated that it was early in the race and I had to pit which screwed my strategy. I ended up pitting a few more times because I took my wing off and then stuck it in a wall, needed to pit for tyres, tyres and fuel, and eventually finished 14th. Next week is either going to be awesome or the worst thing I have ever done.

If your wheel has a d-pad, you can bring up the pit menu at any time by pressing any direction.
I'm not sure if you meant this, but it took only a second or so to fix all my body damage from T1, and I had Front Wing, Rear wing and the left side all red
Damn, I did not know that. I've been waiting till I hit pit road and the menu comes up. Last night I negotiated the entry and was basically in my pit so I missed the opportunity to fix damage. I've got a Driving Force GT so I have a d-pad......what a dumbass. lol Thanks mate.

I had a most enjoyable night. I was about 5 seconds off the pace which was a little frustrating, but there were enough of us in that boat so I wasn't feeling lonely. I didn't hit anyone (of my own doing), and didn't make any big mistakes. wooohooo!!!
Unfortunately I tagged someone at the start from the Seanus/Keith incident which caused moderate damage to my front wing. I'm not sure if that really compromised my race or enhanced it, and I didn't get a chance to find out at the pitstop because I was in my pit before I could even look at getting the wing fixed.

I really like these cars, but I'm not driving very well. Fun though...when I'm not making mistakes and damaging my car.
I got a decent start with everybody else, moderately went into the back of Keith and damaged my front wing on the first lap. It made the 30 laps to my scheduled pitstop a long drive. Kept tooling around, made a couple of mistakes and finished 14th (I think).
Couple of apologies.
Keith, sorry for whacking you. I'm glad you kept it under control.
kcender, sorry for getting in your way when you were passing me the first time. I'm not running virtual mirrors, and got caught out with you catching me.

Try downloading it again. sometimes the file is incomplete, it's happened to me a couple of times in the past
I have had a couple of tries at doing the patch, but when ui go to unzip the file (Winzip)
I select, select all and extract and it says Win Zip Encountered a problem during the operation. Any ideas for the
inept computer owner.
