Wasn't a bad night for me considering I was starting from the back for the first two races. I feel like I battled against Wally for most the night, every race I feel like we are always close, even last season I feel we spent a lot of time trading places. It's good having some close battles each week with you. Also spent many laps battling with Freezer last night too. Good fun!

Apps / Re: Helicorsa (radar app)« on: August 03, 2016, 07:55:17 AM »
I've had problems getting this app to work for some time now.
Thanks Wally, you pointed me in the right direction advising looking into Documents\Assetto Corsa\logs\py_log.txt I'm presuming there was a conflict with an older version of this app. I just had to rename/remove the Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\apps\helicorsa.ini file and on next load it would be re-created and it's started appearing ingame correctly again. 109

I've been enjoying the racing here since joining up so count me in! I'll have to choose a car in the near future though, yet to make a decision.

Looks like I'm out for tonight, I was going to give it a go on this internet even tho it's capped at 256 (was holding a stable ping earlier on marty's test server)
However, since moving the PC out to the rig. I've been unable to power it up. Will be trying a few more times but it's not looking good atm, the PSU light is flickering (usually does this after being unplugged but usually becomes a solid light after 10-20min) I've had it setup for a couple hours now and it's still not getting anywhere Good luck to all of you racing tonight, hopefully I'll be there next week. 114

I'm a maybe for this one. Our crappy adsl is very close to the monthly quota and resets on Wednesday. I'll probably be capped by the time we get to race on Tuesday night

Yes, it's just the ptracker folder in the apps folder that you need to delete really, there's the icons in content/gui/icons but that can stay if your just updating to a new version I spose.
I also just updated my ptracker and wasn't real happy to see an .exe file.... I don't want to see that becoming a norm. 116

Yes, I made this assumption aswell on Tuesday. I had all repairs selected and was assuming that my gearbox was going to be repaired in the pits. Each race coming back on track with a yellow box...
After the racing I was thinking about it, and thought I had made a mistake thinking that the gearbox was even a component that was to be fixed. The symbols look like suspension/body/engine (not sure on the order). This is in the pitconfig app. But I don't remember, did the gearbox used to get fixed? 117

The following is what I ended up going with for my setup in the races.
Gears: 1st: 12/29 2nd: 17/31 3rd: 17/25 4th: 19/23 5th: 21/24 Final Gear Ratio: 8/36 Tires: all 19psi Suspension: Front ARB 5, Rear ARB 1 Aero: Front Wing 5, Rear Wing 6 I changed my Dampers for tonight aswell, all Bump on 3, all Rebound on 6. Which is what the default spa setup had on it. I only changed the final gear ratio in Gears but you did mention you were getting different max speeds, were all the other gears set the same as mine here Wally? I started tonight's setup from editing last week's, which is what I've been doing all season, just editing from the previous week. Originally starting from one of Marty's setups on Week 1. I like to think it's working well, but there's probably a much better way of making a setup. 118

I felt tonight went quite well for me, I managed to get to the finish line on both races, quite happy with that considering I had mucked up a few gear shifts early on in both races and by lap 5 on both races I had a yellow gearbox. Finishing both races with a very orange gearbox...
Both races I had some close racing with many of you and it was all very clean. I might of been pushing a little bit over the limit at times but managed to keep it together. Don't know what is different in my game since last race but this time I wasn't getting any of the animation during pitting, it just flickered for a second and then I was sitting in the car just waiting for it to let me go. Is that just what happens when you don't take tires? Thanks for another great night, I'll cya all in Barcelona next week? Whenever it is, I'll be there 119
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: My PC« on: June 30, 2016, 12:08:11 PM »
It's not like previous version of Windows were much better. They all had/have backdoors, but it's where developers are supporting their software to run from. We still need it if we want to play the latest games
I've been using Linux for over a decade and I still need Windows. Gaming on Linux is still miles away. Saying that tho, I have one PC (with all my best hardware) running Win10 for pretty much just gaming and I've got quite a few Linux laptops and servers setup. However, If I had only 1 PC then I think I'd have to install Windows on it, I need my games!! I sent you a PM Wally. 120
