Race 1 Penalties
Bradc drifted across left to right in front of Dave O and clipped his front corner. As per the guidelines, bradc should have made more of an effort to stay on his side of the track in the first couple of turns, to avoid these side-by-side impacts. This time is a warning only.

Well what more can I say about my race.... ::)
According to this I need to apologise to Dave O. I was not aware that it was you who turned me around for what reads like I squeezed you heading towards the first right hand corner. I am sorry if this resulted in damage to you. In all honesty I had not idea why I was going backwards into the tumbleweeds at the time as I didn't see your car there as my right screen was empty of other cars. I knew I had a car on my left, however I didn't see you there in what could have been my blind spot. I'm not trying to deflect any blame, I just was not aware of what had occurred and I'm sorry if this negatively impacted in your race.

I wonder if anyone knows how to save the races because when I checked my replays it only had my fastest lap saved.  I'd love to take another look at this incident as I'd like to learn from what I did wrong.

Needless to say the rest of my race was a challenge being dead last and so it was almost race over before catching anyone.

Race 2 Penalties
The hairpin was a little messy, but it was just a concertina effect with slow cars in the corner, and no real harm done by any impacts.

I've got to have a  :'( here, being someone who got turned around when I became someone's brake marker in this. After a great start I was something like 13th or thereabouts at the time when I got punted back to last (again!), however what infuriated me was that you could see the car in front spinning and some drivers were slowing in anticipation, whilst some thought they'd plow on and hope for some bonus passes, hence why I was a little disappointed to read the above comment.

After this, the racing was quite good, with some really close racing between Joe, Dave & Shameless, sadly for me I didn't have the ultimate pace to catch anyone, but it was fun driving hard and close with very little contact and racing room given. plus it was nice to complete a race without being lapped. Now if I could only pull off a clean lap 1...oh well there's always next week.

Hi Brad,
Here are the replays:
Race 1: http://www.mediafire.com/file/66v0ol1at21mc5n/AC_080817-210833_R_ks_ford_escort_mk1_riverside_spike.7z
Race 2: http://www.mediafire.com/file/6khj176q5hucer6/AC_080817-215759_R_ks_ford_escort_mk1_riverside_spike.7z

I think you were badly done by in both races. Clearly in race 1 you hit a bump patch in the road which upset your car and you touched Dave.
Race 2, Phil was trying to take advantage at the incident that I was involved in and was full on the power when he hit you. I think that seeing the carnage ahead it may have been wise to hold back a bit, but hey it is racing after all :D and you always have to try to take advantage where you can.

Cheers
RussG

Hi Brad, I don't save replays or worry too much about post race post mortems.. so haven't seen the replay, but what Wally reported

was what I saw from my car. I was coming through on the inside and just got squeezed and bumped off the track. No drama, wouldn't

worry too much about it.. ;D things happen  :) was a good night.  Cheers Dave O.
NEVER TOO OLD TO RACE ... being competitive can be a PROBLEM though.

@bradc There's an option somewhere in the launcher for how many replays of each type (practice, qualifying, race) to auto save.

I felt like Doobs was holding me back for the first couple of laps,

Yeah he was  :). I'm reasonably cautious at starts and trying not to outbrake myself and get off slow corners without looping it means I was a bit slower than I'd like. I know I made it hard for you because I kept seeing you getting hassled by a couple of others every time I slowed you up.
The car got a lot better after about four laps and that's when I felt confident enough to go faster.  Good chase Russ, and good driving at the start when I guess you would have been getting a little frustrated.

Thanks so much for the d/l's I'm looking forward to taking a look as I am rather disgusted at getting a warning. Not that anyone here knows me, however I'm not that sort of driver.

Thanks for the info, I shall check it out and see what I need to click - After 10+ years on rFactor this dinosaur is struggling with the transition to AC and having to learn where everything is all over again.

Don't lose any sleep over it - it was just that you moved a little to the right, and the side-to-side impact is the hardest one to avoid in sim racing. It's just to emphasise that we take extra care in the first two turns to stay on our side of the track, and not move sideways, otherwise these kinds of impacts are really common with the limited side-to-side visibility.
