What's "MS Redistributable"? ???
If you're talking about ptracker and setup sharing, the download you need is this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=48145
Visual C++ Redistributable

There is a log file in assettocorsa/logs (or close) under your documents. Something like launcher.log. if you zip it up after the launcher crashes and post it here, we can see if there's an obvious error in it. Otherwise, you can post the log on the official AC forums and get support there.

Do you know how to verify your local files in Steam? From the game properties. That will replace any  damaged files.

I had a spin early on in the race which saw me go through a barrier and back into pits. It refuelled me and changed tyres, but I was a lap down. I didn't want to pit again, so I trundled around on tyres on 95 wear for the last half of the race. I did have a bit of a run with Bird for a while, but after that it was pretty lonely. I couldn't catch bradc who was about 8 seconds up the road.

All I can say is, trust the developer of the PLP app.

It's six of one, half a dozen of the other. Some race series do this, some do that.

Servers can't download apps. Apps can only update themselves, but they could potentially download and execute anything.

The risk is already there. Do you read every python app you run? Python can access the operating system. Some apps like RSR timing used compiled scripts. You can't even read the script to see what it's doing.

Some clever spark on the AC forums has developed a way to make apps auto-update, so at some stage I'll do this for PLP.

Apps / Re: PitConfig 1.0
« on: March 10, 2016, 07:28:39 AM »
New version 1.5 is available:

V1.5 available:
- Improved pit box detection. Solves the problems reported when driving backwards (after missing the stop position) and pit spots around the finish line (thanks to Esotic and AdderSwim).
- Now PitConfig supports Window Mode.

Cool.

If we are going to run a slower car it might be an opportunity to race on a few of the smaller tracks as well.
Yessir.

I did think about fixed setups, but in the Tuesday league, I want to reward people who get more into aspects like practising and developing setups and so on. Less of a ”just turn up and drive” vibe. In these cars, there's not a huge amount of setup options in any case.

Another thing I want to try next season is the application of penalty ballast. E.g. instead of getting a points penalty for careless accidents, you get some amount of (not too harsh) penalty ballast for the next race. Note: the next race - the first race of the next round, not the whole next round.

Since it's pretty easy to find incidents in the replays with the contact report, I will probably look at every incident, and have certain amounts of penalty ballast for rear shunts, not leaving racing room squeezes and careless track re-entries.

You can vote for up to 2 options, taken partly from ideas in the "Bucket List" thread.

Abarth 500 Assetto Corse
Every race is a reverse grid race. Race 1, reverse grid by leaderboard (no qualifying, except for the very first race). Subsequent races reverse grid by previous race result. Something like 3 x 20 min sprints.

Toyota GT86
Same format as the Abarth: every race is a reverse grid race. Race 1, reverse grid by leaderboard (no qualifying, except for the very first race). Subsequent races reverse grid by previous race result. Something like 3 x 20 min sprints.

BMW M3 E92 Step1 vs BMW M4
Top half of the field, by season leaderboard, from round to round, get the slightly slower M3. Bottom half get the faster M4. The M3 is sort of 1 to 1.5-sh secs slower, so pretty even with the M4 when in the hands of the faster guys. Qualifying for race 1, following races in previous race finish order. Something like 3 x 20 min sprints.

Lamborghini Countach
Using just a little bit of calculated ballast from race to race to compress the field. NOTE: minimal ballast just to compress the field a little bit, not to try to get everyone to the middle performance like previous seasons. No reverse grids. Qualifying for race 1, following races in previous race finish order. Something like 3 x 20 min sprints.
