Race 1 - Got involved in someone else off... damaged suspension - limped home to pits then circulated.

Race 2 - Had an excellent race with Simone, Abs, Doobs??? lots of people - really good close high pressure racing but pretty clean. Very good. And my 1st open wheel top 10! - 9th.

Covered in sweat.

thanks again Wally for all your work on this - I'm sure everyone here really feels the same way.

On to the next one!

Sorry didn't make it tonight Wally... was in server and teamspeak ready to go but my pedals weren't registering so exited to check why.

While I was out bloody internet went down  ::) couldn't believe it. Had a massive update for windows 10 today and I reckon it did something

with the Fanatec drivers, wheel & pedals weren't showing up on the controller screen. Internet came back up about 40 mins later so downloaded

latest drivers and firmware from Fanatec  reinstalled  and looks like it might have fixed things. Wasn't in time to race though.   Thanks for another

good season Wally  :)   Dave O.

thanks again Wally for all your work on this - I'm sure everyone here really feels the same way.
Thanks - I enjoy doing it.

And that's bad luck Dave. Bad timing.

My races were... awkward. I didn't really feel comfortable all night. The car felt slippery, and I couldn't push out of corners with any confidence.
In race 1, I got my wheels a bit hooked up on some kerbing which ended up with me beign hit from behind and sent off the track to rejoin close to last. Then I also got tangled in the accident at the final hairpin on lap 1, which again left me awkwardly facing the wall. So not a great start. I made it back to 11th in a fairly lonely race. I got a blue flag, and saw a car close behind me in my mirrors, so thinking that was the lapping car I let them pass, only to discover that it was Shayne racing me for position, with Kcender further back. Lesson learnt - I now have the realtime app up on the screen during a race so I can see who's behind me and where the lapping car is.

Race 2 was again relatively lonely, with me having to defend a bit from Seanus, Phil and Russ - Russ for a good part of the race. On lap 13, Russ made good use of the DRS on the pit straight and got a pass inside me into T1. I knew the pass was on, with Russ's speed from the DRS, so I hung wide to try to turn back in on the inside hoping for a compromised corner entry from Russ. I did tuck back inside, but cut it too fine, and clipped the rear of Russ's car, spinning him. That was my fault, so I apologise for that. I inadvertently gave the spot back soon afterwards, after I spun on the final hairpin.

Bit of an eventful event.

In race 1 noticed an accident on the last corner of the first lap so slowed down a bit more than usual. Unfortunately Doobs did not appreciate my caution. Pitted immediately hoping the clear track would be to my advantage. Spend a number of laps slowly gaining on Wally and just as I caught him he overtook Joe (i think). Unfortunately Joe's car made a sharp jerking move as I was about to overtake him and in my shock I overreacted in avoiding him spinning miles off track. Sadly I ten notice his car jump back which meant I was a victim of my poor internet, the move was only some connection lag. Ended the race with a good battle with Seanus.

Race 2 the pole position curse struck again. Got a bit of damage on first lap after Kero forgot how slow I am! Then the disasters really started. I pitted immediately to fix the damage but forgot my pitbox is the first one so did not have time to switch the fix damage on. Well at least got some fresh rubber.  After a number of laps I realized that is was just possible to do decent laptimes with the car damaged. So in for a second stop. Unfortunately I proceeded to crash into the pit wall severely damaging the front suspension which took ages to repair.   :-[  Not the brightest move ever.

Congratulation to Matthew for the championship and Joe for his win, you trounced me this season Joe.

My best round so far, just a little bit too late.

It's funny though that I'm still disappointed with 6th and 5th, having spins in both races, especially spinning from 3rd. :-[ ::)

Not the most enjoyable series for me, but that's nothing to do with Wally's organization or the car, just my piss-poor form. >:(

Congratulations Matthew. 8)

Nah I appreciated it Mael, :) I was just blind to the accident  and unfortunately, not fast enough to react to your caution. Sorry for the tail end but there wasn't much I could do. I didn't see the trouble ahead until I almost hit you, or I would have been showing the same caution.

Race 1: After the accident I was way off anybody and after I pitted to fix damage, didn't notice that my pitstop was on NO CHANGE for the tyres, until the repair under way icon came up. So I went around for a few more laps and then pitted to change tyres. I came last.

Race 2: Was a much better start with some really good racing. I passed a few people who were having accidents and ended up in a good position. There as some really good racing, and I thought it was one of my better ones for the season.

Simone did scare me into a mistake, but then drove off the circuit again...That was hairy and I copped a cut track due to the avoidance. I didn't say anything, I didn't think it would be fair. Hard luck Simone, apart from scaring me a little you were also half a second faster so I thought the pass was inevitable. Hard luck mate.

Thanks for the season, I loved the open wheelers. I'm not much faster in them  but enjoy driving them a heap more than any Uber.

See you in the old Uber next season

Nope not me.

Qualified 4th then remembered on the line I suck at starting in these cars and lost 2 places right off the bat. I think I made one of them back before lap 3 where Phil and Kero had their incident on the last corner. I was sure I was going to make it through but clipped one of them and destroyed my front wing. I stayed out for a couple of laps but the car was really struggling. Bacculum got past me, and then Simone got on my tail which was a clear indication something was very wrong  ;D I pitted after lap 5 and fixed the wing plus tyres. After the stop I came out around 6th with a lot of clear track so was able to put in good laps. Phil came out of the pits behind me just before I caught up and passed Russ but Phil got through too had a few laps with Phil on my tail. The tyres eventually started to go off after such a long stint and I made a mistake and Phil made his move. After that I couldn't keep up due to the tyres so I just kept on eye on the gap to Kero behind me. He got close by the end but managed to take 4th.

Race 2 I got a better start and was fortunate to miss a couple of offs in front of me. I was quickly in 2nd behind Bacculum and got by him on at the end of lap 3 once the DRS kicked in. Matthew was soon behind me and I thought it was only a matter of time before he went by but I started to slowly increase the gap and keep in clean. Assuming Matthew wasn't pushing 100% as he already had the championship in the bag as usually he's a lot quicker than me but I'll take my first Tuesday night win  8)

Reading my own post and the tone of the post did not come through as I intended.  No intention in blaming you Doobs as, unless you could see through my car, there was no way you could notice the traffic in front of me. Maybe we should get Wally to double the penalty of the drivers who caused the traffic jam in the first place, would be nice advantage for the first race of the next season  ;D

Was a great cship this one cars were a surprise for me didnt think they be as awesome to drive as they were, was a great one to win and i was pretty happy with how i setup the car and drove most the races. Thanks wally for all the hard yards you put into the league its fantastic!

For what ever reason the car didnt work here so i was off the pace a bit but i wasnt too fussed as all i wanted to do is aim for a podium as thats all i needed to do. Qualy i got 5th which wasnt ideal but i couldnt do much more lol. Race 1 got away nice and clean and was behind phil and kero before they came together and i inherited p2, that was more than enough for me so i just cruised to the finish in p2 which was better than i expected and would ease the pressure for race 2.

Race 2 i was super cautious lap 1 and had a few incidents in front of me that raised the heart rate but i survived and was 3rd behind bachulum and joe watching them battle out, after a few laps joe got past and i followed suit. Joe had good pace and i couldnt do much about it without risking too much so there wasnt much of a gain when p2 again would be more than enough for me so i sat back but joe was driving great anyway and pulled away so congrats to him on his first win good to see :)
do you even motorsports?
