I’m being a bit liberal on the exit but no cutting I don’t believe. Can see my speed through there is slower then most by a good bit

Hoping those fast time on the board are going straight through the chicane. 1:20.4 is the best I can do legally.

Funny thing is you are WAY faster through the chicane then me on my fastest, probably 17-18km faster... lol

u know whats nuts, atm there are 1750 online servers

I found the server thx, I had to search for content I didn't have. Your map has extended pit or something Ill get that one now.

edit: On the season 20 sign up page you have a line with two links

Jan 9: Thruxton + pit mod  (3 x 14 laps)

When I click on the pit mod link I get a page can't be found error.

Working pit mod link on page one of this thread

And then there's also 5g coming with even more speed, although how economical that will be is another question.

Latency and packet loss will still be an issue I think. Wireless internet just never has a steady ping

I'm just keen on figuring out the shortcut Dave O was using when doing his sector 3 time on his fastest lap.
Then it's just about adjusting my fuel load and I'm good for the race ;-)

Last time I’ve seen this the person was using a different (older) version of the track with different sectors marked and the checksum on the server wasn’t working properly for some reason

Working in IT I can safely say the NBN is a joke. Almost as bad as Trump being president.
If you get fibre to the home, you are lucky, fibre to the node is mostly crap, stuck on satellite then enjoy the 800ms ping (that’s about mimum) if it’s coaxial then probably doesn’t work properly and has now been paused. Fibre to the curb should be ok but then no matter how it connects they will all have contention issues anyway. NBN makes me quiet angry, soo much money wasted and inevitably will be mostly scrapped to be replaced with all fibre eventually which is what it should have been from the start

Not sure I’d rely on honesty, not that people are dishonest as such but the urge to gain any advantage possible will simply be too great. Trying to police it would be WAY too hard so practically I think if PLP doesn’t count it as a cut then it’s probably best to leave it

Prety much, I’m losing a fair bit of time in that chicane trying to keep two wheels on track at all times, this affects your exit speed and next lap greatly. So is the consensus that if PLP does not see it as a cut then all’s fair?

Can I get some clarification on the last chicane as you can cut it prety hard and it doesn’t register as a track cut. My policy has always been two wheels on the track. You can gain heaps of time here if you cut it

I think you would run something like sprint races every 30 minutes and set the times accordingly. Like 10 min quali and 18 min race (time based race)

I can boot up anything you like anytime on my server set up. Don’t have minorating set up though.
Mine are the servers that are named SM_SRV...

ROOZ is running fun run races on Monday nights between seasons, generally a few people there. I think it’s Tatus on Red Bull Ring this Monday

Will throw my 2c at that one, driver of the offending car was caught of guard at the total and unexpected lack of acceleration out of the corner of the white car. He did account for the slower entry speed with two cars in front and this can be seen with the second application of the brakes coming in to the apex as there were cars ahead.
The impact happens in what should be a fairly hard acceleration zone and you can see the yellow car in from walking away as well.

In either case a hit from behind is exactly that so it’s the guys behind fault. From that external view it’s a very Vettel/Hamilton in Baku kind of incident... lol

Talking about the second incident posted here...
Yes, that is a tricky one. But I don't think you can accelerate full pelt assuming the car in front is going to do the same. I always try to keep at least a little buffer to the car in front if I'm directly behind them, matching their speed, unless I've got a chance to move alongside them.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that, Wally. At least not all the time. One of the most exciting things of Tuesday night is when I am fighting with some of the fastest guys and I can follow them for laps and laps with each and every corner at qualy pace. (last Tuesday I did that with Matthew in race 1 and it was a fantastic race---only ruined by a sad misunderstanding once we were side by side on the back straight). Of course if you get really really close, then you need to lift a little and take a slightly different line or get out of their slipstream. But that's really only when you get within a meter or so. Until then, full pelt is the way to go if you can trust the other driver.

Granted, when they are two cars fighting ahead, it is a wholly different problem---and in that case I agree with you: give them some slack. Both accidents in this thread show exactly this: following two cars fighting for position is a completely different pair of shoes.

Problem is compounded a bit by the reverse grid as you need to change your driving style completely. In race one you start and generally race with guys on a similar lap time to you. In reverse grid it can be easy to get caught out though.

Didn't worry me, I don't mind some paint rubbing,  But been hit and pinged around on starts annoys me, but that does not happen to often, coming across an accident and not been able to avoid it is annoying, as is been dive bombed,   speaking of dive bombs , sorry about my dive bomb Godzilla,  I totally missed my brake marker by about 20 meters.   I am sure no one does any of it on purpose though, its just bad judgment calls I am sure :)

All good mate, it happens, thankfully managed to catch the slide with some prety hectic counter steer. Race 2 was brutal for me, constantly way of line due to traffic. Really sorry about the nudge @RussG didn’t think it was to bad but guessing it was worse, haven’t looked at the replay but shouldn’t have happened
