put a few laps in last night with Ley and insomniac, man it is fun once you get it sliding/drifting a little.  I have got past the "over correcting" and now getting some consistent laps in...  lovin' it!

I ran a few laps last night in this though I dont think I will make the race. Fun combo, I ran the new track version and it looks great but it seemed to have lots of objects pop in very late, I dont remember from older track versions. Mostly I think it was the fence but it was fairly annoying and so overall id say worse then earlier versions because of this.

I did notice that graphics wise it looked different, but I didn't notice any pop up at all. The fence going of the left on the downhill section was doing a weird texture thing, but I see this on Kunos tracks too.

Pop up seems to be an issue only with 4xaa and will be adressed in next version.

I read this new version has jet planes flying overhead. I'm curious just to see that. I might turn AA down from 4x just for tonight.

Qual: Went OK thought I ended up 5th then got pipped by Cherno to 6th... luckily didn't have to do a drive through.

R1: Was going well until I think lap 3 where I bumped into AJ, sorry mate looking at the replay it was all me turning into you. :( I then took the Old Hairpin turn a bit too eagerly and span out letting half the field past before re-entering the track. After that had a few moments on tired tyres and ended up somewhere in 12th behind AJ and Hornbag.

R2: I had no idea where I was starting from so ended up in the pits and more confused than before ended up near the front. Rolling start went well,  had a good run but ended up dropping places as the race went on and the fast guys caught up, also forgot to do the drive through so will cop any penalty given.

I have both replays saved, but will take some time to upload the 600mb or so.... I will post links to them tomorrow.

All good Insomniac, I think I had actually lost a bit of control just before you nudged me anyway, so the same would probably have happened regardless.

Big apologies to Hornbag, took him out twice, but luckily after looking at the replays he didn't loose much time and I ended up much worse off.
Hectic night with such a big field and lots of cars on a similar pace.
Loving it though.

Really enjoyable. First race was a bit of a surprise since AC indicated qualifying was the next session for me. At least it meant I did not have to do a drive through helping me to a solid finish.

Race two was hectic, cars everywhere! If the contact with you GB was my fault then sorry, I was concentrating hard on passing the driver in front of me and might have moved over into your lane  :-[

Race 1 was running in 2nd behind Bacculum after Wally and Phil made an early drive though. I thought it would be better to try and make a gap first rather than come through the field. Bacculum was pulling away and I was making a pretty good gap apart from Mael who wasn't far behind. Some random then joined the server and parked their car in the middle of the fast right hander at the bottom and hill and I had to pretty much stop to get around. This meant Mael closed up on me and Bacculum got a bigger gap. At the end of that lap he was coming out of the pits still in front of me. The next lap I tried my drive through hoping to just loose one place to Mael but came out with Gratulin, Phil and Wally steaming down on me. I tried to keep to the outside of the track as to not cause any accidents, but ran on to the gravel and they all got by. I got past Gratulin a few laps later but Wally and Phil had made a break by that time so come in 5th.

Reverse grid race had lots of overtaking. I was running 6th at one stage, but then there was an accident ahead at the top of the hill and I ran headlong into somebody which spun me around leaving me stationary facing the wrong way. I had to let the 3 or 4 cars coming up the hill go by before I turned around and rejoined. I made a few more passes after that and finished 7th which wasn't too bad.

Joined in for race 2 and surprisingly with a joystick managed to have a pretty stable car and a 1:22 during the race. Scary moment when I had a car either side of me in the braking zone at turn one. I decided to let them both go through and avoid an accident.

Aiming to start recording the replay for a video, which should be on youtube before the next race.
