IDK lol, while they look like bricks they still have an aero package so you can kind of precariously rely on it in some corners. First few laps I did with meds hit 15's then put softs on and bam 14's, not sure how they'll go but they don't seem to overheat. Braking for the last chicken requires trail as you bump over the first curb then straighten up to get a good run over the second curb and onto the long straight. A lot of trail in the first double right balancing on the edge of grip without over driving it. Taking some of the driving techniques required to be somewhat competitive in acc on this track helps, so some aero reliance, not over doing tyre cornering/braking grip.
Switching over to the merc I did all those wrong things because I'm not used to the cars balance and haven't worked on a nice set, plus the braking into the hairpin and chicane will easily turn into an off because of the fade feel it has, not sure if it's abs, haven't played with it. With some more testing could probably match the Alfa as dietmar has before. Rolling starts would have been great for this season eliminating the Alfa's advantage off the line.

Shame rolling starts can't be implemented properly in ac like acc.

I did a few more laps in the Merc offline, only minor tweaks to the set and abs off, not sure I'd race with it off though. Theoretical best was 2:14:7xx after about 9 laps. You can use a bit of the run off curbs around the back fast section (last few left handers) but the cars get a bit twitchy out there.

Well all I can hope for is that PLP-App will record Bueller's lap as invalid. The App seems very strict around Suzuka. If not then we non-aliens are screwed!

Don't think I'm abusing track limits, I've stayed inside the white line and hadn't received any cut messages...unless I went off

Apologies Bueller, not insinuating you abusing the track limits. I had the red square coming up from the PLP app in areas which I deemed would still have been within the limits, certainly compared to ACC. So more a mention to watch out to make sure drivers does get caught out in the race.

All good I didn't take it that way, I will double check the limits, but I'm pretty sure it was all legal lol

After 2 weeks of driving a Hiace around SA, I feel like I've completely forgotten how to drive!

I've given it a few laps to work on a rough set up, and provided I can get my act in order, I might be able to sneak a high 13 on a kamikaze lap

I think I'll be back tonight, however I am having difficulties getting Discord to accept my username / password......Looking at the lap times, if anyone has a decent M3 set up I'd love one as default with some gear changes clearly isn't working for me  :-[

I've done a few laps last Wednesday...did a 2:17 flat and thought that's somewhat competitive. Yeah, was a bit confused by the times on the server. Figured last night I picked the wrong Suzuka track, same layout, but it is quite a bit slower. Don't get me wrong...not saying you're stupid like me ;)

Congrats to Dietmar very close for 1 and 2. Thanks for another season Wally always appreciate the effort.

The car didn't feel right to me last night I was really struggling. Overall the season had some good close racing, but it did feel like the Alfas had the advantage which was frustrating at times. Dietmar showed the BMW could do it though if you have the skill, which clearly I do not.

Thanks for putting up the season Wally. It was fantastic racing with you all.

Bueller, Killa, Wally - thanks for the close racing all season. It has probably been the closest racing I have had in Sim racing. Looking forward to racing with you all again
