thanks Joe, looks like an exceptionally good book having FJ as the hero  8)

Just checked the results, "IF" I could have hung on I may have had a 13th position finish!  :-X

34
well my first foray on track for quite some time, just a mere 10 seconds slower than my fellow Nissan driver, but I was 16th at one point, just as my "puff" was running out.
Well those LMPs are amazingly fast, it as almost as if lag spike has sent them past you!  I hope all the faster/lapping cars were able to negiate me okay, I don't believe I was in the way.

Thanks for run, but if I am a problem, you let me know!

35
Phil you selected a Ferrari skin, but the list above ^^ has you in a Nissan?

36
Welllll, the Nissan group is rather small along with prestigious of course  :P

So where am in terms of health?  You will have noticed that we missed our long term plan due to my health suddenly dropping off.
I have now in palliative care, at home fortunately. So parallel to managing the pain as the cancer seems to be winning at the moment, I am now having chemo.  Although this has had a 10% success rate with skin melanoma metastasis, it hasn't been used against mucosal  melanoma.
We have have a fingers crossed, taking a positive approach to this opportunity!
In between when I have the energy, and after the chemo gives me a break... LOOK OUT, I'm coming through!  ;D

PS I have no inhibitions to speak my mind or heart here, thank you.

Hey Bruce, we have raced together for many many years and whilst we have not met in person I do feel like I know you.  It concerns me that
you have been unwell.  You have always made racing here such a good place to be and I only hope that the future looks promising for you.
Look forward to many more races . .
Cheers
Freezer
Many thanks Glen, kind words.  I have felt that, it is one of the nice parts of a common interest and common philosophy of life I expect.
When ever you make your appearance on track, and we say "hi", (usually it is the first overtake of me in prac :) ), is is as natural as meeting someone on the street.
Looking forward to more races too... (may need assistance again in the GT3 class  ::) )

Backing up what Wally said.
You're certainly one of the nicest people I've raced with Bruce, maybe too nice  on the track sometimes. :)
Daz
Thanks Daz, that is very nice description to have, makes me proud.

Hey Bruce, what Wally said.

You certainly are an inspiration for all us old guys. Keep fighting mate, take care of yourself and get well soon.

I know you will be racing with us again soon. Although you have picked up some pace of late on Thursdays I will still get lonely at the back of the pack without someone to chase.

God Bless mate.

rob
Rob I believe we all inspire each other here, we have a common cause, there is no animosity, small tiffs are sorted out quickly and we move on as a group of friends should.
There will plenty race opportunities for you and I  :)
Thank for you best wishes.

Hi Bruce,

I started this thread to give everyone here at XGN an opportunity to send you messages of best wishes and support.

For myself, I find you an inspirational member here who always has a positive, "have fun" attitude in all of the many years that you and I have raced together (and you're quite hard to pass!). You're always proud of your achievements when you do well, which shows the fun you're having. You're a true gentleman racer. And you have put your hand in to organise many series and get involved. You're a real asset to XGN, and a great part of the place.

- Wally
Now that I have a little more energy today and finally logging onto to XGN, your kind words deserve more than a a mere "Thankyou", even though at the time, that was the best  could do.
It has many moments, far in the majority, that given me a lot satisfaction. enjoyment and entertainment, (on many levels :) ), and apply myself to being a part of the XGN  community has truly been a pleasure.
You may have guessed, I don't give in to easily and doing a little cardiac work on the site when needed, down to trying new mods in an attempt to keep the interest up, (just like your sex life :) ), has had its rewards.
As in real life, so is my "cyberlife", Ill give it 100%, on occasions it works, and mu 100% equals the others.
I know I am the better for being part of XGN, this thread this concern proves it,
Thank you Wally and all.

Well if it makes you feel any better Doobs, I arrived at work once in the carpark on my vrf800, thought I put the stand down properly and commenced leaning it over . . . and it kept going . . . with me on it!
Anyhow broke a bone in my foot.  I also more recently pulled my r1200GS over whilst parking, but this time jumped out of the way and only a few minor scratches.
Never had an accident riding . . . only parking!

Wise, probable the bike was damages too from less interference.
Had broken foot caused on going problems?

ahh those embarrassing moments are worst!
I had just moved up to a new Thunderbird triple, friends suggested to ride down a popular cafe, warm Saturday morning, found the cafe,
"I'll do a you turn" I suggest, I was in a bus stop, peeps had taken on el fresco, I didn't think, I had leather shoes, good for dancing , bad for grip on bike
Pull into bus stop, prepare to turn, right angles to bus stop and direct view of inside and out side peeps,
put my feet down, slight slip to right... bigger slip to the right, no grip bike slowly slides,
Denise steps of and walks away!
bike hit the the deck
snap off an expensive right front indicator and cost me a lot in street cred! hahah - 8)

Happy Birthday Istvan.

really sorry about the damage to you, going to be frustrating having just sitting it there, but "absence makes the heart..."
