Bird you can pm me any details if you want to try change the server but I tried the elastic IP and stracker and minorating for some reason would no longer connect using that ip I was using.

Thats why I went away from that, the IP no longer changes as I have had no reason to reset the server in a long time but I still think a basic bookmark works best. People can bookmark the URL to the stracker server and also directly bookmark the link to this particular server only as I have 6 ac servers running off this instance.

If I can change it so using a basic xgn url can make it easier for people to find that would be great as long as it has no effect on the use of plugins etc. If stracker or minorating wont work on the server having a different simpler URL would be fairly useless.  :D

Regarding the slow car its fairly clear it has a huge handicap in traffic even if it can get maybe close on lap pace. It cant pass anything unless forcing them into an error while others can make an easy pass on me even if am on a pb delta half way through the lap I have been passed easily by a lambo and z4 here. ;D

This is what my car looks like to quite a few guys when ahead of them.

Marty, that .htaccess setup does nothing else, but redirects 'bare' queries (w/o anything specified after the domain) to the given url.
Up to you if you want to put it on.

btw; gents when I start an offline hotlap (with track set to "optimal", temp to 26) I get a really slippery track in fact.
I could not get below '30.  Yet I just jumped on the server, track at 96% and I can easily lap in the 28's.

Altho offline I've used the "real" brands hatch.

Do you guys know what this is caused by?  Do I need to do the special brands version, or is there another trick?

This very same thing happened to me on all the tracks of the season....

Maybe you arent using tyre warmers in single player, the track should be identical to the official track other then the grid spots. I pretty much never run in sp unless I run a couple laps to see what I can do on RSR though thats maybe 3 or 4 laps all other laps I just do online, mostly as stracker saves stats and performance comparisons between laps etc.

Also if your running soft tyres there is the obvious lack of grip on the outlap too and with higher tyre wear in the prac server the softs will come too quicker but also be far from optimal during the hotlap as they will already be fading very early into the lap if not before the outlap is finished.

Did you delete the old Mod track version?
Also check actual grip percentage in sp laps. It may not be 96.

Could simply be slightly different track temps and pressures, for me every time Ive run any track in optimum hotlap mode its been a fair bit quicker so it doesnt make too much sense.

When you set temp to 26 offline, I don't know what track temp you get. Online, it's 25 ambient, 34 track, because of the clear weather conditions. Are you using clear weather?

Actually I think I had slightly overcast. Might worth a try with clear, indeed.
Edit: ok it worked.   Clear weather has fixed it :)

Weather and time of day effects track temp relative to ambient.
