George Barris, the Southern California “King of Kustomizers” best-known today for his creation of the original Batmobile for the 1960s TV show, died Thursday at his Encino home. He was 89. A tireless promoter for custom cars, California car culture and his own outsized personality, Barris returned to the public eye in 2013 during the sale of the Batmobile at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale. The auction sale was hyped to the max, with a hand-waving Barris riding out on stage in the iconic Batmobile to the amped-up strains of the Batman theme song, as the packed-house crowd stood and roared. The Batmobile, which Barris and his crew famously created in 15 days, sold for an astounding $4.6 million. The sale was typical showmanship for both Barris and Barrett-Jackson, and it provided a fitting last hurrah for the custom-car impresario who was responsible for some of the most-fanciful TV cars of the 1960s, including the hot-rod-hearse for The Munsters and the artfully beat-up truck for The Beverly Hillbillies. The cobra at Mid America is BAD!
Sorry for very late notification, but the track is woeful, my fault, I picked it for the Cobras.
We all know Imola, it is good with the Cobras!
Same server just search for XGN or Joe.

Cobra Cup Season 6
October 15 Imola Laps = 1 * 5 & 2 * 8
You will notice on the Cobra Cup Page, that the next 3 rounds are the Cobra Cup have changed to Imola Cal, being a newb to the Cobra, you will need a "Taming Setup" unless you have built one... I or someone will post a setup ini here to make it easier for you (and lukey  )

Hahah sorry couldn't resist the reference... Okay Joe's server is up and running with Thursday's track, the shorter of the two options, "D". I have also reset Gratulin's server, in the optimist's view that we can you use it and get the Championship points accumulated through sTracker. If you get the opportunity, could you check connection on both, Joe's will be okay, I'm sure and I will check tonight. Nice track for the Caterhams. Current Mazda/Caterham Cup Points.

The results have been updated for last week's Cobra run at Suzuka. The server is up with: Mazda/Caterham Season 7
October 8 Caterham Mid America Motorplex Laps=1*5 & 1*7 but this week is a bye, any preferences? Phil something in mind?

Well it was time for a run at the Rob Roy hill climb, great day, weather was fantastic and we all got 4 runs after orientation, no timing. Glen73 took his newly acquired Jag for it's first outing for some sorting out and I took my old boy, the FJ again. Thanks to Glen73 for some in car footage. [youtube]E7jIXijkekY[/youtube]

Race server is up set to 10 laps.
We will put some post qualifying for race one and review for race 2.
All cars are default install cars
If you do experience getting booted due to "checksum" retry, we are having intermittent/unpredictable errors, but once in, I have not had any issues.

A couple of events have made us look at broadening our current season with the very nice Caterham, ballast and the thought of substituting the Alfa GTA to assist involvement of all those that would like to run on the Fun Thursday nights.
Next week we MAY:
Have a choice of Caterham or Alfa GTA, depending on:
The closeness of the 2 on the upcoming tracks, (not tested yet) and
ballast that will allow close racing for all in these 2 cars. (At a min, we will be running the Caterham with ballast if Rob can get connected)
Your mission, <your_name_here>, should you choose to accept it, is:
Test both these cars, currently installed on the server with Barbagallo, and put some times up so we can then get an idea:
if they will be 'matchable'
and set some starting point ballast for car/peeps combos

Tommy78 has released his Audi TT 2015 Cup mod for Assetto Corsa and rFactor 2.
The mod comes with proper simulation of the series’ specific features such as the push to pass system, it includes a full field of 19 liveries from the 2015 season.
Powered by a turbo-charged two-liter TFSI four-cyclinder engine, the Audi TT Cup is Germany’s newest one-make cp racing car. The 310hp cars will be racing in support of the German DTM series starting with the 2015 season.
