I seem to have issues on the server, first it was drop outs which now seems ok but now it doesn't seem to register my times. The lap was valid and it shows up in my game as my pb but not on the server or its records?

In all honesty, I'm pretty happy with it... 
Potentially I can get a .5 sec better time on this track with it, but I always loose the plot and muff some corner.
I think I've just over driven today and lost focus... plus one beer to many maybe? 
WR is 3.8 secs faster... I have no idea how they can do that.
There are more skilled drivers here racing the Merc this season and I'd just love to hear their thoughts and what they would set differently.
Not a bad setup its very pointy with the rear guiding it in a lot, could be because of less downforce or less rear camber, I notice the merc is better with 26 27 pressures too. Heres my set its fairly simple, just comfortable to drive.

First off sorry Perch for the warpy internet moment, it was my pc as my net dropped after that race and in race 3 it was all over the place! Bit of a shame was a good battle for the podium. I was on TS but i dont think my mic worked
Race1: Got a solid 4th was just managing the gap to stan all the way home couldnt touch the alfas in the race.
Race2: Did the lap of the gods in qualy to steal a pole position off those pesky alfas haha was one of the best qualy laps i have done i think, pitty it was probably the most useless too as those alfas off the line sent me straight back to 4th lol. Was on 3rd for a bit and had perch catching me as my tyres faded, I tried to keep him behind me in the dieing laps but then had that net issue and it sent us both off sadly so i finished 6th.
Race3: My net died after race 2 and by the time i rebooted everything i joined 1 lap down so just circulated for points with my warpy net lol

Nah AC is way more detailed than anything else I have driven, I find there's so much feel in the wheel and you have to be very correct with how you drive the car with throttle and brake inputs providing you have all assists off otherwise yeah its point and shoot... I have my game set to factory so its what the real car would have like others have said. Try driving 458 GT2 I don't think that has assists or the 1989 c9 merc that's a handful lol.
Out of curiosity what did you race in real life?

Yea I think anyone competing in the bmw is a hero as its a dog..which is a shame cos on r factor touring car legends it was a match for 190 and great fun to drive...and u gotta love the John Player Special livery 
The m3 e30 dtm would be more of match, just that before v 1.1 it was quicker then the alfa times now but has been slowed a bit it seems since 1.1. Now the e30 dtm is much closer to the merc but I think its trickier to drive then the grp A and not quite as much fun. I think they slowed the e30 dtm to reflect the Alfa's dominance over it when they raced together.
The grp A was always about 3 or more seconds a lap slower then the dtm e30.
Which is a shame because before the update it was just as quick as the merc maybe a tad slower which is how it actually was in real life, it would of made for some great racing between the two and as we saw last night the alfa would of still had its advantage over them as it should being a class 1 DTM so the universe would have been a nice and balanced place but nooooo lol really annoys me what they did to the BMW dtm...

Was pretty fun racing that merc it kept me very busy lol Race 1: Car wasnt too bad in the early stages i managed to pull away from my fellow merc drivers but there was nothing i could do about the alfas lol so i just sat in 3rd for a while and slowly watched the yellow car of stans in my mirrors get bigger and bigger and more and more sideways haha was pretty cool to watch Stan give that merc a good thrashing as i just managed to keep my merc and its shot tyres in front! Race 2: Reloaded my original merc setup that had less front camber and higher tyre pressures and it was much better this race, managed a few 12's in the race but still not enough for the alfas  although by the end i did taste some blood and nearly got wobbly for 2nd but just didnt have enough tyre on the last lap to have a proper go but it was a nice close battle there on the last few laps. Race 3: Got done by those bloody ferraris off the line lol and i knew they would be hard to pass once in front so i quickly rounded Wally up into t2 and then got right behind martys ferrari where i would become well accustomed too the rest of the race lol (if anyone needs to know the badge placement on a 458 to the nearest mm im your man). It was a good 3 car battle though that worked up a solid sweat, it wasnt easy trying to attack Marty and defend Stan at the same time but good fun

Yeah as i pointed out earlier the BMW has had its performance cut down a lot in a recent update, all those wr times for the DTM would be from the old version of the car. I did a 1:54:8 at imola pre update now it can only do a 56.2

I think they ruined the BMW DTM I did some quick laps in both cars around imola and nurburgring and these were the times

Now a few months back I managed a 1:54:8 at imola in the BMW so they have obviously changed something with that car in a update and its not as good to drive, its almost like its on different tyres to the merc and it feels very rigid and edgy now.

The merc is my new favourite car haha. Wasnt it the grp A BMW we were racing? There is a DTM version which i think compares well to the merc

Did a 1.32.2 but felt there was more in it, managed to get the car working over the curbs and that's where all the time is here really.

That's the set for those interested, im not sure which way to go with wings I had 18f and 22r on that lap but I also didn't mind 16 15
Out of interest, what did you adjust for the kerbs? Fast dampers? Camber?
I found softening the roll bars to be the biggest help, I started with 30f 3r and i could barely touch the curbs and as soon as i started to drop the bars i noticed I could take more kerb. I settled on 10 and 1 it can still bite but a majority of the time it sticks.
