Thursday Nights fun racing / Re: Fun Run 31-08-2017

If people cant afford or just refuse to but the AC packs I will buy them so we can all have fun at the same place without having to worry who has what its only 5 or 10 bux .

Let me know
Please keep in mind it is impossible for someone who is organising a Fun Run to trawl through the DLC packs to see if something is included or not !! I have always held the belief that simracing is one of the cheapest forms of entertainment there is, in $per hour cost. For an exercise just divide the total cost of the software in $$ by the number of  hours you have spent using the said software. In my case I have clocked up 1050 hours with AC,  total cost of about $140 Aus. that works out at 13 cents per hour !!!!!!! and my hours would be very low compared to others.

Last night would have been more FUN with more drivers  :)

I have wanted to visit MONA gallery since its opening, our last visit to Tasmania was 20 years ago so we have decided now is as good a time as ever to make the trip. Baskerville Historic races meeting is also another good reason. Looking forward to meeting you and Phil  IRL , what day do you plan on going Phil and will you be there from Friday Bruce? I can PM my mobile number so we can text to arrange things.

Mod Tracks / Re: Longford '67

Hadn't seen this historic track before until I saw it on a video today. Just did a few laps in the Cobra and was a lot of fun.

The Australian GP was held there in 1959 and 65, the track was created by a uni student for an assignment (woochoo) and was included in the the official release of Rf2.
I consider it to be as iconic as Bathurst as far as Australian tracks go :) . We have had a few Thursday races there over time.

The car is coming along nicely Bruce, they didn't go overboard with guages back then did they ! Our first modern family car was an FJ, a big step up from a very old car which had running boards , I cannot remember exactly what it was anymore. :(
I hope the weather is better than last year  :)

The opening post for this series now only gives the McLaren download , need to go to "all the info link"  for the Lola.

sorry fixed.   :-[
I have been less than well, sorry for my absence, hope to have a run this evening.
No need to apologise Bruce , we always know there is a good reason.

I was getting a checksum error with the Lola only, has server been updated to latest release Saturday 26/8/17?
I have answered my own question, the answer is yes. Should we add the Ford powered Lola to the mix Phil?

That looks very good
I just ran some laps in the 1000TC GR5, very slippery , I think stick with your original plan with Kunos  Abarth and track.

As the Tuesday fun run is what we are doing next season on Thursdays, that can be treated as a shake down for Thursday season 10 if anyone wants a race and the server will be up with that combo until next Wednesday, so heaps of time to test :)  and as we are not starting season 10 until Sep 7, I think we can do another fun run  8)

Any suggestion of something simple and fun,  if no ideas I will find an some Kunos car and track,,  the Abarth are calling me   :P :o ;D
Did you mean this Abarth Phil?

I'm hoping to get involved in Thursday night racing. Do we need to register, or can we download mods and join server?

cheers
Just need to download mods, being on teamspeak also is good. ts.xgn.com.au and poke an admin to get access.
