After a Christmas/New Year break, the next round starts our American leg of the world tour, at Virginia International Raceway (full course).

Note this round is on January 7.

Another note - check your car in the car dealer - if you were in the Supercup last round and are now in the top 8 and can no longer afford the Supercup, you have been defaulted back to the Porsche.

Bump, the season resumes next Tuesday, and the practice server has this combo on it again.

Was a surprise to me, normally find it a real challenge to drive but seemed well suited here.  I am sure others will go much faster.

I was one did those that forgot to change car and got the Porsche but it wasn't too bad here. First race good chase on Wally but didn't have the pace in the corners. Race 2 had some good pressure from Freezer pre pitstop then Phil right behind me for the second half. Good fun.

Interesting night, it's been soooooo long since I've been able to race that it was nice to dust off the sim and take it for a spin. I choose the Mustang simply because it sounded good, no other reason.  Race 1 was a lot of fun as I was able to power slide and drift around a lot of the corners with throttle moderation. I had some rather intense laps with Phil for the greater part of the race and it was a lot of fun.

What I didn't know/nor check for race 2 was that it also had a 5 second longer pitstop. It must be to level out it's straight line Mustang advantage as I pitted to prevent an undercut and found myself a long way behind the two cars which were previously stuck behind me. Not a biggie as I was rather happy to be still running after getting knocked off at the start of the 2nd lap. I'm not sure what happened but killa was behind me and there was contact but then someone else hit me, so without a replay I can't be think there was a bit of concertina effect of multiple cars making contact in the braking zone for turn 1 and with killa waiting on the corner exit to readdress  ;), I just continued on. The rest of the race was rather quiet, but I really enjoyed this track. I can't remember driving it in rfactor but I do from the old N2003 days so it was great to revisit this one.

Sadly I can't make next week, but after that I should be able to race every week as fingers crossed 2020 isn't going to be anywhere near as hectic as what the last 6 months have been.

Yes Brad, the Ginettas and Mustang were given a extra 5 seconds pit time to make the Porsche and Maserati more attractive.

My Maserati had good top end which saw me get close at the end of the straights.  As Joe slowed to pit I clipped the back of him and slid into the pits myself unintentionally!!
We came out together but I out braked myself on cold tyres into turn 1 and he was away.  Pity, it was a good chase until then.

I should have told you I was coming in. I didn't want the pressure any more and I also couldn't get past Brad so was hoping to jump him in the pits. I also out-braked myself into T1 and only just touched the grass to see you go much further onto the grass  :o
