Apologies Phil, saw you spin and judged that your car would stay off track so decided to use the opportunity to get by Kcander. When your car came back on track I was already committed and had nowhere to go.

The damage was so severe that the right front wheel could not turn which is why it took me so long to get to pits.

Still working on not getting involved in unnecessary accidents but some way to go  :o

Ad Well done Freezer, saved the race for the team!

thanks Freezer.

Another stuffy day here, had the air con on in the cockpit to keep cool. Managed a 1.33.9 in practise which surprised me.. a pb.  but again couldn't match it in qual by half a second slower.  Someone spun on turn 2 in lap 1 and I had nowhere to go so gave them a big enough nudge and lost a few spots, climbed my way somehow to 10th as the field sorted itself out at the start of the race, Kcender came back after a spin and tried passing me on the outside of turn 1 only for us to touch almost at the exit which I think sent him off again but looked like a racing incident. I did slow just in case but he was nowhere in sight, I dropped back to 14th I think and lack of grip, an off by the last few laps.

Race 2 I wasn't feeling it either phil.. I hung back in a daze for lap 1 and just tried to be consistent. Got a 10 second penlaty when I brain faded coming out the pits and my car darted to the left over the the solid line just past the pit wall on exit. Seanus was trying to pressure me and I tried to just keep it together, he made an awesome pass on the outside of turn 1 in the late stages of the race only to lose it on the next corner and dart off the track.  I finished 10th or 11th?  surprised.

Well that has to be my best Tuesday night round so far points wise, and consistency wise. I wonder if those two things correlate :) Only went off track once across both races which is almost completely unprecedented. Just found a real rhythm with this car and track combo tonight and really enjoyed myself, even though for the most part of both races there was a fair gap in front and behind me.

The car felt really good around here. I had no spins or silly mistakes this round.

Race 1 was a bit of a rough start, getting hit off the track a couple of times in the opening 2 laps, but battled on to have some close racing with Russ and AJ in particular in the second stint. I spent 4 laps crossing the finish line within 0.5 seconds of Russ, so that was great racing. Then chased AJ to finish only 0.29 behind him, in 7th where I qualified.

Race 2 was excellent, stuck behind Russ again in a repeat of race 1. Russ and I had 0 contacts for the entire race, so again, it was excellent racing. I pitted a bit earlier than I had intended, to get off of Russ's bumper, and it worked because when he pitted after me, he came out behind me.

Simone was behind me since lap 4, heaping on the pressure and making me keep an eye on the gap back to him. I pulled away towards the end of my second stint as my mediums outlasted his softs. I chased a nice Freezer/Kcender battle for the last half of the race, hoping they would slow each other up enough to let me get close, which they did, but the race was over before I could really capitalise on it, finishing only 0.4 behind Kcender in 4th, my equal best result.

My tyres were almost falling off the wheels by this point, two more turns and you would have had me for sure :D

Yeah, nice.
And this is interesting to me: Online cut reporting (Gas Cut disabling)
Whatever that means.

Well if everything I wanted to do was built into the game, I'd be a happy camper!

Up and down results but great racing tonight.
Qualified 6th and was gifted up to 4th in the first lap but shortly after was tagged by Kcender.  Small tap but enough to cost me 5 spots.
From there things got messy.  I was pretty quick but kept getting tangled in various situations and loosing spots.  By the end I was about 2nd last so not a great outcome.
R2 Again I was lucky to grab two spots on the first lap with people going off.  I was now behind my team mate Mael, who was chasing Kcender.  Sadly after a few laps Mael collected a spinning car which left me to chase Kcender.  After a couple of laps he pitted early (lap 5 I think) and I pushed on.  I ran to the end of lap 10 and grabbed tyres only to come out with the exact same gap again to Kcender (0.7).
After a few laps he had a small wide at T1 which allowed me to out brake him into T2 (my favourite corner all night).  He though was now on my tail.  I did stretch the gap a tiny bit a times but on the second last lap running a bit deep under brakes put him right on my tail and that's how we crossed the finish line.
2nd place for me is my best result for a while so makes up for R1.. :)

and I see Maki Engineering have climbed up onto the teams podium . . :) :)
