1) ear infection - inner ear - can cause dizziness.  But it's weird to get it only when sitting in front of a monitor, it's more of a movement-thing as the circular canals get irritated (or eaten away by bacteria!) Still, better get it checked, as it can get very serious.   The reason I've next to no hearing on my right ear...
2) Maybe you're getting older.   You may get used to it if it's just motion sickness, the brain is a funny bugger.  Treat it with smaller doses but regularly, try to seat farther or in a different height, etc.   Don't let it get to the point where it takes hold.  Also; this is easy to help with anti-nausea or sea-sickness tablets.  They are pretty effective.

But maybe see an ear specialist, first...

It was great fun, but it really keeps you on your toes to drive the Lotus.  The merc isn't that bad.

These cars - especially the lotus - will teach great throttle control :)

I've just tried this again, after the updates, and I could only do a 12:31.460 without making any serious mistakes.
But I've done a few total crashes in places where earlier I could go nearly flat out, now it requires a definite braking.

So IMO the tyre model just got more slippery :)

And the winner of the top 5 shootout has to upload his setup so that we can see how he tuned his car :)

You already got that one - he's called Guybrush :)

Talking about these, dick?

You could start new challenges on those once we've finished this one :)

It'd be good to see the pCars tracks converted.  There are a couple of really nice point-to-point road tracks.  I used to love love the azure coast one.  It's not hillclimb, and it's a bit more flowing IMO.

I reckon this one is plenty twisty.  I got dizzy going left-right-left-right-left-right :)

I'm the fastest dick smoker! :D
Yeah I had to learn the track somewhat.  And change the setup a bit.

I just checked the replay, I've actually had a run-in with the rock wall at one point, then with the guardrail on the other side.  So I guess there's at least another easy 5 seconds in, and if I learn the last part better probably 10.  But it'd take quite a bit of time I think.

Anyone else tried the Cobra after the latest AC update? It seems like a vast improvement in stability to me. The fundamental handling instability may have been fixed by the updated physics/FFB in this release. Do others find it also improved?

I will need to give it another go but I wasnt a big fan of the car the other day, sure I drove bad but it just did things for no real reason. Kind of makes it hard to be consistant if you can do the same thing 5 times and one of those times it kills you.
But that's the fun of it! ;)

Well, we always knew you were quick Marty...it took me quite a bit to beat you here.  And I suspect it won't last long. This isn't a perfect run, far from it.

It's an interesting trick with the AI :)  But I prefer wrecking a few cars.  Man there are some treacherous edges and rocks out here.

Do we have to do the full make-up thing, or is a dress enough? ???

[in response to Guybrush]
It's not technically viable - but I'd also vote against it.  I'd hate to just sit and watch 5 others go a lap one-by-one.  I'd probably just go and grab a beer or something :)  Some rF online series had this sort and it was boring as batshit, to be honest, xcuse my language :)

On the two laps avg; I don't see a reason, really.  I cannot see any real serious accidents where one gets too much of a bonus.  If there's the occasional occurrence, it can be raised as an individual case.
On the other hand if someone cuts and gains some, he'll just pay the price next race :) Nothing wrong with that, IMO.

It sounds like you need to treat the throttle with a bit more care.  Push it very gently, then you can catch the moment it tries to let go.
But it maybe a pedal issue.

I agree I really like these point to point type races. This track still needs work but is very pretty already and the change in elevations is very realistic i thought. The scenery changes a few times. Love it. Yeah learning them is bummer but it can make a nice change from going around a track.

I've no time to learn it, I've simply had a few tries at it, failed a couple of times (drove off cliffs, hehe) and succeeded at run #4 or #5.  Funny that the previous run I got almost to the finish - but I had no idea I was there - and threw it into a chasm about 30sec from the top, hehe.

Here's mine.  13:36
Shame there are no segments or any indication of your position....

It's really good fun, though, and a beautiful place.   I like these point-to-point tracks!
