I managed a 1:19 flat here so far. Here's my take on the track.
It pays to straight line the chicane as much as possible on exit, but cut it too fine at the tyre bundles and it ends in tears and twisted metal.
The exit of Tower Bend is very bumpy and unsettles the car, before the important run through the Jim Clark Esses and Barcroft. I found that by taking a slow and wide entry, keeping up more speed through the bumps tends to smooth them out and unsettle the car less (like driving over corrugations). Taking the corner too slowly is too bumpy.
You can get a real good flow from Tower Bend, through the Esses, through Barcroft and then right through Sunny In and Out, carrying a lot of speed through there.
As for the other slow corners, don't enter them too fast!
Ask Grat where another 1.3 seconds are
Watch this from 1:30... starting a Corvette from 5th gear. Who needs more than 1 gear?Because you would burn the clutch out getting it moving remember it has a top speed of 300kph, so 2 gears is the minimum for such a speed range. With a rolling start, why would you need more?Ha! Why not only one then

It's a fair scoring scheme, not weird. You are rewarded more for being able to pull out a greater lead when the field is compressed with ballast.
I know in this instance you scored more because Phil and Matt tangled, but that's racing. In any type of scoring, they might have been 1 and 2 and crashed, gifting you the win. It happens. But in general, the faster you are than others, the more points you score.
If someone is good enough to finish 30 seconds in front of the field, instead of 1 second, shouldn't they be rewarded more? You could say that traditional scoring, where you might get 2 more points whether you finish 30 seconds or 1 second in front, is unfair.

Yeah, I blew it with a spin into the fence in race 2 after putting a wheel outside a kerb, which put me too far back to be any fun
But it was still fun then actually racing with people but a lap down.
Race 1, I just couldn't catch Mael, who CLEARLY needs more restrictor

I noticed in race 2 results I'm down as finishing last Wally, pretty sure there was at least 1 car behind me?See how your position is red in the results? If you hover your mouse over that, it shows you got a 10 second penalty for cutting.

I reckon the biggest change with this car is to enter the corner relatively slowly and make sure you can turn in early. With sufficient TC, it's not too hard getting the power down on exit.
