Yep I think Dave G. is right Bruce. From memory it was just an in-between Season Fun Run, so we thought that a more familiar track was the way to go.

And don't ever choose a track based on my pc capability, just choose the tracks that you think suit our Fun Nights, I'll be at the back anyway. I do it on purpose, the FPS is better back there. ;)

Yes please Wally.

Sorry Phil, I had to pick my bro-in-law up from hospital, didn't get a chance to let you know.

Hey Phil, this Outlaw thing had better be good, I don't want to waste too much of my d/l limit. Its a whopping big 11.9 mb!!!

@Phil
I say another few fun runs. Even the Season is a "fun run" compared to Tuesday, lets keep everybody included.

@Brad
Like Roo, I have an old G25 and have had no problems with this track. I believe that there are a couple of versions of this track, make sure you have the one linked at the top of the Thread or maybe download again just to make sure. Hope you get it fixed mate.

@Phil
What part was it you liked Phil? The "Will I be on the pace Thursday night? Probably not" part?? ;)

@roo
Yes Dennis, its been quite a while since I've had that feeling.

Just did a few laps of Mid Ohio in the Porsche.

As usual my single monitor was cluttered with Apps giving me all sorts of technical information to help me go faster, but the driving sensation was so real with this car/track combination I decided to turn everything off and just have a clean screen.

And there it was. Sim driving nirvana. Just the car, the track, and an H shifter. I didn't care about the lap times, I was lost in the apexes and the brake markers and the gear changes. For once I could control the tailie rear end, my gear changes were sweet, I could heel-and-toe, and I listened to the engine and watched the tacho. No red numbers and sliding bars to tell me when to change gear.

And then to watch to the replay. The track is visually stunning. I know its too bumpy, but to watch the replay again and critique my driving and just enjoy the vision. What joy.

Did I do a good time or a PB?? Don't know, don't care!!

Will I be on pace on Thursday night? Probably not. Don't know, don't care.

Sorry to waffle on guys, but it really was that good.

Thanks Wally.

But make it a reserve if the spots are tight. I might not complete the Season as I think I will be a danger to others in this car.

I wouldn't mind and in no particular order,  back to cobra season , caterham for Rob, still owe him a season in that as he suggested it and couldn't do the season last time, skippy or mazda mx5 or even one of the arbarths,  wonder if anyone them is similar to mazda, will try is a fun run and see sometime :)

Hey Phil, thanks for the thought, but my PC problems seem to be going a bit deeper than I originally thought. I think that it is just not up to the rigors of modern gaming. I can't guarantee being able to make all Thursday nights so best not pick a season for me. Appreciate the thought though.

Cheers mate

Hey guys, I just about got the PC where it can play AC again, but I noticed that last Thursday I was even more off the pace than usual in the Lola T290.

I played around with the tyre pressures and gained a slight margin. I use Wally's excellent TyrePressureEngineer App (thanks Wally), but the ideal pressures just defaults to whatever I choose in the setup page. I noticed that the Lola is not in Wally's data base, so can anybody tell me what are the ideal pressures for the Lola??

Cheers guys,

Wally, I'll be out again this race and probably for the remainder of the season, so you can give my spot away if needed.

I'll be out again this week Wally.

Hi Wally, I will be a no show again this week. Please make my spot available to a reserve if needed.

Thanks
rob

What's up with the computer Rob?

Hey Wally, it's a pretty dated pc made out of secondhand parts and it looks like one of the hdd's died shorting out the pc.

I have got some newer secondhand parts and I am just now putting it all back together to see what works and what doesn't.

I've got to reinstall windows, AC etc, but hope to be up and running for Thursday.

Cheers mate
