Mod Tracks / REAL TRACK - Circuit de Catalunya - Rating« on: October 29, 2014, 03:52:15 PM »
Original by Flo for rFactor, Conversion to AC by Albert McSaltens who also converted Slimjim's rFactor Circuit de Catalunya and Suzuka.
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/circuit-de-catalunya.3328/ We've had some fun runs on this track and it is very good. Well worth a league race slot! Would be good next time we do open wheelers... Vote: 2=(you think layout close enough to real track for league race)AND(no technical problems) 3=(you don't like layout)OR(there are technical problems) 4=(you don't like layout)AND(there are technical problems) 1832

Mod Tracks / REAL TRACK - Brands Hatch and Brands Hatch Indy - Rating« on: October 29, 2014, 03:23:39 PM »
Conversion by Albert McSaltens who also has converted Circuit de Catalunya and Suzuka both of which are also good conversions of real tracks.
Version 1.0 - This is very good quality that, while it may not be exact to the real Brands Hatch, is a good track to race on. http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/brands-hatch.2726/ Rate it "2' if you believe there are no flaws and the layout is close enough to the real Brands to use in league races. 1834
Mod Tracks / REAL TRACK - Donington Park GP Circuit (track mod 2) - Rating« on: October 29, 2014, 02:54:55 PM »
There are 2 Donington Park tracks in AC. The attached one here is a scratch-built version.
Note: "One thing to be aware of is that while there are 24 places on the grid, there are only 19 in the pitlane (that's as many as Donington will accommodate unless I place them perpendicular to the track." http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/donington-park-gp-circuit.3031/ The post for track mod 1 by Wally is for the netKar conversion. 1835

Hardware & Reviews / Re: THE Oculus Rift Thread« on: October 28, 2014, 03:01:39 PM »I read somewhere that the focusing of your eyes is different in the Rift as opposed to a monitor. This could be wrong, but the way I understood it was that your eyes focus on the monitor's glass panel - so basically a foot or so away from your face, where as with the rift they are actually focusing on something that could be in the distance or up close due to the 3D/screen wizadry... or something.Correct I think. I wear my distance glasses and it helps to focus on, you guessed it, distant object. Go figure! 1838
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Season 4 thoughts« on: October 28, 2014, 02:57:26 PM »
The pit stops can literally be 'pit' stops. Ie you can have a break, walk around, get a cup of 'tea', empty the bladder etc. there is no limit on how long they take. Last week in the Cobra I was in the pits for a least 30 minutes otherwise how come I ended up 3 laps down!?

But you do have a low opinion of some us need to vote your karma down a bit for thatThe parameter should be FINISH_WHEN_LAST_CAR_PASSES _CHEQUERED_FLAG=1. How hard can it be to program that!!?? 1841

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: To damage or not to damage, that is the question.« on: October 24, 2014, 07:48:57 PM »Dicus, I need a skin with aa target on itThe damage is too immature, in my opinion. I didn't hit Gratulin all that hard from behind in the Cobra - it was more like a shunt, both of us slowing under brakes - and his suspension was damaged with a wonky steering wheel. The damage doesn't seem to be proportional to the force of the impact. 1845
