Right car, wrong track but worth a look :)
we are at monza 66 road course in wondering :P

I have not done any testing yet and the track might be too long and difficult, I might change it to the junior course or something, what's peoples thoughts on the track ?
-
It depends. :-\
I like it but I haven't done any laps with another car.
Alone the track is too long and, quite frankly, boring having about 5km of full throttle.
BUT it was renowned for its slip-streaming battles, so if that translates to AC it would be easier for slower guys to keep up (and even pass).
So, for mine, it depends on the slip-streaming effect.
If you are going to change tracks, I would prefer the GP over the Jnr.
No chicanes so it's a pretty quick lap.
-
cool, I might go gp after having a drive of current track later
-
I see you have tried some laps Bacchulum and Seanus, what's it like that layout ?
-
@Phil.8 and @Wally I just linked from the server url to xgn.com.au and noticed that the biggest posts on the XGN home page date back to 2017. I think it is because the home page is listing the News forum section in the centre part of the web page. It may be a good idea to post a topic in the News section that describes XGN Thursdays open server sessions we are currently running?

one more thing...
This is not a good "recruitment" combo.

Incorporating Gratulin's insight with G0D's and my agreeance, I'd say it's a vote for the GP track.
Unless Gratulin meant an entirely different combo.

I was just concerned that visitors might struggle with the car and high speed bowl. Slower, easier cars might be better?

I am afraid everyone will have to humour me this week with this car because I have wanted to run it since it was release forever ago :)
With the track I am happy to change to whatever, how about Silverstone 67 ? or suggest me a Kunos Track, I am happy with normal Monza ? anything ? Highlands short ? Nurburg sprint or sprint GT ? one of the short vallelunga ? or magione ?
-
I was thinking '66 Monza still just the GP version, rather than full course.
Less corners than Silverstone. 8)

is that the road course ?
-
Yes.

Did a few laps around Monza and its a blast. The car is fairly easy to control as long as one remember to brake early enough, drum brakes and marie biscuit wheels makes for slow retardation.
Maybe we should use the Lotus 25 for Tuesday season? ;D

It was part of a poll once, if I remember correctly.

From memory we tested the cars on quite a difficult mod track which may have scared people away from the car?

Rouen. It wasn't really that difficult, quite flowing.

Except for the part where trees jumped in front of the car, not so flowing then!

Give me five minutes and I'll convert a Ferrari 158 to go with the Lotus 25.

Probably not for tonight as we are using Kunos content only, but for the future would be good :)

That is what I'm thinking too.
-
They look great :) :) :) I always prefer a multi car grid if possible, thanks Seanus 8)
-
They do look very cool, I don't know if tonight will work because not everyone reads the forum and might not realise a download is required
-
If you want anything tested not next week but week after Seanus I will run whatever you want
-
Apparently my internet is going off tonight between 8pm - 8am ( they must want to make it slower like what happened after last so called maintenance) , so I may just disappear at some stage tonight, other times they have said this it has not gone down until about 10pm , so we shall see what happens
-
Great fun last night, I really enjoyed the format and the car and track :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) 8) 8)
