One of my worst driving displays in recent times.

Got a great start slipping by Wally to move up to third. Then noticed the first two drivers slowing down early for turn one so thought I'll do the T1 hero move. Predictably it turned out to be a major disaster, apologies to Humper especially since I managed to cause another accident with him on the last corner of  lap one.

The track itself was good, would be fun in a faster car!

I know last week Shameless said UnFknBelivable didn't take a pit stop because he's not in the league, but if points are being taken from others by racing then you should prob follow the rules? 2nd week in a row in top 5 and no stops. I know its just a thursday fun league but still.. ::)

Have to agree, either in the league and following the rules, or not counted in the points.

I had fun. I bogged down terribly on the start line and had people passing me left, right but luckily not centre. Then I spun all by myself half a lap in where a few came off. I think I ran wide and clipped the grass. I was close to the back at that point, and had fun working my way up to 3rd (with the pit stops helping, as I didn't pit at all). The highlight of my race was a long battle with GW, with some good tail to tail and side by side racing for several laps until I finally found a way past. Then I just caught tantalising glimpses of AJ some 7 seconds ahead of me until the end.

The highlight of this race, for me, was the return to form for Flattop Bruce, finishing in the top 5, well done Bruce. I spent 10 laps getting my tyre pressures right only to forget to save them. With about 8 laps remaining lost concrentation for a fraction of a second and spent the rest of the race on my own ( this happens to everyone Shameless) and is a function of track and car combo and driver ability.
Still really like the Escort though.

Well to say I had a "HOOT" of a night would be an understatement.  Having a little more wind in my jib I was able to put in a full concentration race.
Thanks rooshooter, finally getting my act together!
I spent a lot of time offline, setting up my wheel, then in AC and spending a lot of time getting my POV/seat position sorted to provide the best driving outlook I have had (excepting the 1600 openwheelers in NetKar).

Ran with crew chief which too pressure, except it didn't know about "Unf" and every lap let me know AJ was in front of me!
Backed off with the incidents ahead in the early laps and threaded my way through and put my head down.
I found I had picked the wrong setup, running a higher ratio rear axle than qual, but one that I had been practicing on a happy mistake at least.
I had two "heavy disk read/write", the first putting my in the passenger seat, i had to hit the brakes and hope to get control before I wiped out everyone or myself.  The second was smaller, with less consequence.
Very happy with 5th and finally getting some points having had a big "0" till now.   Had some good battles, but stuck to my lap times as best as possible and it paid off.
This is a great track and love the combo!  (Don't let Mael have a faster car here! hehehe)
Looking forward to watching the replay and having an "inward gloat"

thanks again Phil, all cool on the experimental front.  8)

My race wasnt too bad. After my inital jump start i didnt use the clutch for the second start so bogged down but missed the bit or carnage and got towards the front. There was then a few swerving cars and i tapped Gratulin so slowed down a bit but not sure I could have avoided so carried on.

After first pit stop had a fun scrap with bacculum and gratulin for a coulple of laps until bacculum started to pull away and i couldnt get past gratulin.

Tried an undercut on the second stop but didnt quite make it and continued my battle with Gratulin up until the point he went wide and into the very solid hay bails  ;D

At that point rooshooter was 15 seconds ahead and i was gaining at about 2 seconds a lap but didnt have enough laps finishing around 4 seconds behind him in 11th.

I am impressed by those who can write up a report, I go into some sort of a zone and don't  know what has happened by the end :)
