That's a pity, because I would have driven the good one, even if I was 1 minute off the pace.

I must admit, I was feeling the same….. :'(

This is getting rather frustrating because the Lamborghini is so dam slow. Sadly despite its shape it’s just too slow in a straight line to maintain a slipstream and then when you get to a corner, it so dam nervous that if you make it through, you know it’s only a matter of time before the bull either bucks or bites when you dare to touch a curb. Whilst I don’t expect to win, it’s really depressing that in this series I’m not even competitive! I tried really hard and practiced so much for this round but the reality was anything under a 2m20 was driving on the ragged edge. Sadly I spun in both races, the first one was cold tyres and in race two it was trying to avoid a spinner. After pushing so hard for many laps, driver error saw me clipping the ripple strip at Eau Rouge and a massive crash turning my car into a canoe, resulting in my first DNF in an extremely long time. With so few people racing at the moment I feel obliged to continue but when you’re simply not competitive it’s pretty hard to maintain the enthusiasm

Is this the full green hell Nurburgring they do the 24hr GT race layout or the dickey GP one?

Anyone got any ideas about how to make the Lamborghini fast? I was doing a few laps last night and got quite excited when I ragged it around to do a very low 2m20, then Freezer logs on and does a 2m18.0 in his Mosler…now I know that was a great lap, but I’ve got no clue on where the Lamborghini can find another 2 seconds to be competitive.
Thanks in advance
Bradc.

Pray?    ;D   Eau rouge is not kind to the Lamb.

I was praying hard when I dipped into the high 19’s but if you touch a ripplestrip you’re on your way to a helicopter crash!  It’s going to be an interesting race

These cars are tough to drive! It’s a shame so few turned up last night, but it was fun none the less. In the Lamborghini I felt rather hamstrung as it was so slow down the Mistral Straight compared to everything else. Sure the old bull wasn’t too slow but it started to run out of puff around 285 and then took forever to get to 298 despite running both wings on 1/1. Each lap it felt like everything else had DRS as everyone seemed able to blow my doors off before half way down the straight. My first race was rather boring after I pushed too hard on cold tyres in the first chicane and the lambo did it’s bucking bull trick chucking me off backwards towards the wall. In race two I got a great start but sadly I was turned around on the 2 lap. After recovering I managed to stalk Wally in what fast became the worlds toughest battle for last place! Lap after lap I’d make up time in the twisty stuff and then he’d pull out 2 tenths down the Mistral. Hopefully Spa suits the Lamborghini better next week.  :)

It’s sooooooooooooo nice that we are running the full length Mistral Straight and not the dicky F1 layout with that silly chicane ruining it

:-\ checksum with half the cars, even after delete and reinstall. Anyway these things feel like driving a porsche or something, they just want to snap turn around and unable to tune it out  ::)

I know what you mean about these things being nervous, I was finding the Lamborghini like this but I found by lowering the car all round and staying off the curbs made a big difference. For me the hardest thing to get my head around was being smooth with putting the power down because I was originally struggling from spinning up the wheels on a curb and then going backwards into a fence

A fun night, but bloody tough. I got a drive-thru when I selected 1st at the start of race 1. When I repeated what happed after the race it seems I had not fully depressed my clutch the last 2% to have it fully engaged 🙄. After taking the penalty it was rather plain sailing until I found some people when they stopped and had a bit f fun with Wally until he was able to make a brilliant pass around the outside leading onto the old start straight.

Race 2 wasn’t much better was whilst I got a good start I managed to hit the same bump as Freezer heading into Becketts we performed a perfectly synchronised spin without touching each other or a wall.

Whilst the night wasn’t that great I do like how hard these cars are, extremely rewarding when you get it right. That said I do wonder if both of the Ferrari’s warrant some parity adjustments because they are clearly the quickest cars in this mod.

Doesn’t anyone have a template for the Lamborghini? I can’t seem to find one

Wow, these bring back some memories, I remember racing these on a 1967 version of Kyalami and it was electric! Pretty simple old school circuit which was ultra fast and produced very close racing

These cars were a lot of fun. Bloody hard to drive and they required a lot of thinking to work out how to drive quickly, imho so much better than the more modern mash and bash cars with their fancy ABS & traction control 🤪

The Lamborghini felt like it was trying to kill me at every corner but once I worked out how to carry the speed it became to feel rather compliant but alway ready to throw me in the fence if I didn’t respect it.

The 550 was a lot faster but no where near rewarding but required a totally different attitude to the Lamborghini.

The Lister was built in a shed and drove like some of the go-fast hits has been left in the shed when the car was rolled out onto the track. Mighty under brakes and to the apex but slow in every other spect…

These cars could make a good series.

Due to parent teacher interviews I’m unable to race tonight and then I’m heading off for a couple of weeks away so I look forward to joining the next series from round 3 onwards
