They haven't said yes and they haven't said no. UE4 doesn’t support it natively.

EDIT: Typo mistake. Meant to say DOESN’T SUPPORT. Aaahhh!!!
I see...that confused me. Still don't understand the reason why they went for it then. The way I see it triple support is just one of the basics you gotta get sorted without a fuss...no excuses.

The Abarth will definitely require a clear run around the back to make sufficient gap to hold out on the straight.  It will definitely be behind at T1 I think so
should be interesting to try and come through in 9 laps.
Yeah, my lap times were quite a bit faster than Phil's. The Mustangs get off the line a lot better than the Fiats so Phil got in front and I just couldn't pass him...got alongside him, but then his exit speed/acceleration just didn't give me a chance of passing him.
Overtaking early on the lap is very hard as you just need some time to close the gap after the long straight...it's screwed. Maybe you'll do better against them, but I'm thinking going for the Mustang. My starts in the Fiat are just pathetic.

Cheers mate. Googled for it and went through a long AC thread where it was discussed. Strange that Kunos is not commenting on this. Maybe they were hoping to get around this assuming the majority changes over to VR. I won't touch it without it anyway.

Launch on 29/05/2019:

Does anyone know if ACC will have proper triple screen support?

Hmm, guess you're right...wasn't well thought through, was it? Yeah, then you'd need special glasses for just this purpose. Don't know if that makes sense.
Well, that's another way, certainly; design the headset so it can be used with reading glasses.
But 7cm is extremely close, there's heaps of people who don't use reading glasses but are off the 7cm mark (see myself, again).
And even if you're good to read at 7cm,  it's probably not good for your eyes to do that for any length of time.
So I don't think designers would opt for that solution.
Guess you're right.

So what's the consensus: virtual reality vs triples?
Having tried VR on multiple occasions, using a quad monitor setup and knowing what mates/users and people say on forums I'm not so sure if there is a consensus at all...at least a broad one.
It seems it's leaning towards VR a bit.
HTC vive and the Rift is out of the question for me because of (in this order) poor resolution, limited of FOV, comfort issues and I like being aware of my surroundings and seeing my gear.
I believe I will end up using VR at some point in time, but I'm starting to doubt a bit that the current technology using closed goggles with these lenses (needed because the human eye can't focus distances <7cm, they are getting bigger and bigger to provide more FOV) is getting results I'd be happy with.
After browsing forums and getting feedback from Pimax users I figured this thing most likely won't do it for me so the only high-end system in development I know of is StarVR.
It seems to be good, but it will be expensive and demanding on your graphics card. In the end I guess we have to hear what actual users, who spent money on it, will say about it. As mentioned before there are financial issues with Starbreeze as well.
What I've got in mind as a potential solution are two tiny curved screens integrated in an open and very light headset where the screens are kept at a distance of >7cm from each eye. That would eliminate the need for lenses at all and all the issues coming with them (which seem to be pretty much impossible to solve because of physical realities). Yes, the headset would be a bit larger, but I think they can be significantly lighter than current systems and having some natural airflow around this area of your face may make it more pleasant/comfortable to wear. I've never read or heard anyone discussing this technology/system so no idea why and if that's actually possible...I'm just a layman in this field.

Strange...just tried to get on the server and got a checksum. Isn't that all Kunos stuff?
I got the same . . .  but I saw Mael was on there!!
"Error: cant compare checksum"

Strange, work perfectly for me. But it may explain why I've got the quickest time  ;D

Just did a 2.10.1 off line in the Abarth . . . :) :) :)

Nah, you're kidding...you mean 2:10 for the start-finish straight, huh? ;-)
I've done a 2:14 in the Mustang and was proud of myself...haha
I will get belted on the home straight but there are a lot of tight corners!  and yes time is legit!!
Oh, that is a bit frustrating...haven't done many laps, but squeezing 4s out of the Mustang...doubt that'll be possible...for me at least. However, 2:10 seems to be a fantastic time. I could go for the Abarth as well, but haven't even considered it because of the long straight...will give it a go and see what I can do with it.

Yeah, I find these sophisticated mechanisms to mix things up not so good...like it being kept simple and predictable and if that means that Matthew wins the series again, fine...well, you could give him a tow bar and...yeah, just make it hard enough for the super fast guys  ;)
Another thing we could do was the 2004 Ferrari F1, but that may get us a smaller field and having 25+ cars on the grid would be cool.

GT3's are great and there is a variety of cars to choose from...all pretty close in performance, which makes it interesting.
You don't have issues with trying to make them equal with ballast etc. If you get us the tracks we can decide what car to go for.
Restrictor/ballast for the guys in the lead in order to make it a close series.
That's what I'd vote for.
The good thing about the GT3's is that, while being close, there are strengths and weaknesses among them depending on the track and that mixes things up just naturally.
I like the Escort as well, but something more racey after our current ones wouldn't be a bad thing for a change. Wasn't a huge fan of the GT3's being mixed up with the LMP's.

It was a screwed up round, but still fun racing. Had to get off track and stop after turn 1/race 1 to see what's wrong with my wheel. Figured the emergency off was still pressed...yeah and by the time I worked that out everyone was gone :-(
Well, FFB was still screwed for the rest of the race...just bad.
I got involved in too many accidents in race 2 so that was a write off as well. The car must have looked pretty shit, but it was driving not too bad...well, forgot about points and just did some racing.
Race 3 was crash free I think...was just following Bird and Joe, but lacked speed to be able to attack.
Glad Wally picked the no chicane version...it's a nice track for the Mustang.
Cheers

Looking at your times I'd probably go for the Nissan because of top speed.
I'm faster in the Mustang, but not sure if I can handle it in a race. It lacks agility...you steer it a bit like a boat :-)
Yeah, and this bloody fast left hander before the hairpin (think it's turn 4)...hard enough by myself, but with other cars all around me...a bit of a concern...going off there a bit too often anyway and that's pretty much the end of the race.
My prediction: Phil will be pissing all over us  ;D

Lots of close racing...it was fun. I should have practiced starts with this little thing...pretty much screwed up all of them...maybe 2nd race not too bad. I was able to go fast, but traffic made it hard. It was damn close there in the last race, Able, wasn't it? Good on you  :)
