Title: S15R1: Zandvoort Race Chat
Post by: Wally on January 05, 2017, 06:17:35 PM
2 x 18 laps. You will need the OSRW PIT MOD (http://www.mediafire.com/download/f2tcjgg5qlenn6t/Zandvoort_32pits_AC1.7.rar).

Don't forget to make sure you have the PitConfig app set up as per THIS THREAD (http://xgn.com.au/index.php?topic=1744.0).

1 CPS for tyres in each race (no refuelling).
Tyre wear is 2x, as it will be all season.

Hey Wally: I'll miss round 1, but I think I should be in for all the remaining rounds.

Also: one of the Kunos's skins, white and red painted like the Praha symbol, looks ok to me. Could that be DA Racing's livery for this season? Any better idea.

Teammate disclaimer: I doubt I'll have the same amount of time and commitment to put into this season as for the last one. But I hope it will be enough to have plenty of fun... but maybe fewer points.

After a bit more testing, I've made a couple of changes:

Tyre wear rate is wound back a little to 1.6x (practice server updated).

I've also turned off jump start detection, because with the auto clutch in this car, it's way too easy to do a jump start.

Does this mean that jump starts will be impossible or that there will be no detection?

Turning it off means its not possible to jump, on or off is the same procedure with the auto clutch. You needed to wait til green to shift up, I think people would figure it out easy enough how to start the car without a jump possibly.

Jump starts not possible, how it used to be. Can't engage gear until the lights go out.

I see Simone has got into the top 10 times so maybe Wally is in trouble and he may fix up some of the Noobs.  ;D

I need to practice with lower aero tonight. I did 2 laps yesterday and like you said marty it's only that long right where you gotta be careful.

Don't tell Simone, but I'm way off the pace.

Interesting look at the graph between mine and Phil's time. Looks like he makes up all his time on the second to last corner. I know I'm going super cautious through there as if you clip a kerb it's game over.

Ok I wont tell him but I think you just may have. I don't know how he goes under pressure though as seeing he's actually in with a chance beyond overly optimistic pre race claims he may crumble and fail spectacularly. :)

So how's the new pit time delay going to be implemented?  A default 5 minute delay for Marty, Phil and Kcender87 sound reasonable to me.

I think all 3 you have named should get at least 5 minutes only fair, I will suffer that penalty on my possible 1 round of the season. :)

Hoping to be there tonight, but the baby has been sick the last few days and the wife has been doing most of the night shift. I'm worried if I ask her to look after him so I can race she may rip me a new one  ;D We'll see...

Looks like I have more work to do on the PC. :-\
When I managed to get in it stuttered like it was going at 10fps.
Worked fine this morning, though....

You might have missed it on TS - I had technical issues setting the grid for race 2, so it ended up being in alphabetical order. I'll certainly fix that before next round.

due to an issue Wally was having, the grid was put in alphabetical order if I'm not mistaken

Correct. I'll have a "backup race 2 grid" in order of season standings, in case I can't get the server log fixed up in time for next Tuesday, but I should be right.
