Is this pass legal?
« on: June 25, 2014, 05:33:51 PM »
Here is my pass on Freezer on the last lap of the last race at Monza, just wondering how others see it as I finished the move with all 4 wheels across the line. I saw the lap before he was very loose through there but I had to check up in the middle to avoid contact and so lost all momentum and had to wait till the same section on the next lap.

As I again so he was a bit loose through the middle and exit I kept the foot in it to make sure I didnt lose too much exit speed, at the very exit I was planning to go inside but then saw his car point left so decided to go right. As I got slightly alongside he then ran wide pushing me off the track but with lots of runoff I just went wide to avoid contact.

Now if its deemed to be an unfair pass I will gladly give my position back to Freezer post race and maybe drop me 10 seconds or so, not that that would give me a DTM for the next round or anything.  ;)

Yep.  You didn't gain an advantage by going outside the track limits, and only passed Freezer because of him slowing and you taking evasive action.

Looks ok to me. It was an evasive manoeuvre more than anything.

I'd like to say it's heavily punishable, but then you'd get a DTM...:D

Nah, it's a very clever manouver, quick thinking & great execution! Well done.

I would protest.
I haven't even looked at the clip and know from my experience Marty is clearly at fault.

Ok I forced myself to watch the clip.
I have to say Marty, your race gloves look terrible! That's about all I noticed.

did you capture that with Shadowplay? or whatever it's called?

Perhaps if this was Formula 1 you might get a 5 grid spot penalty..... but I think not!
Of course you could always have slowed an let me keep the position....  ;D ;D ;D
