PLEASE NOTE: I had to UNZIP and install track using CM. Unzipped drag and drop using CM ... I got error "track missing".

Same here, problem is I dont know how to use CM.
I only seem to have cars in my list, no tracks?
Do I have to purchase the full version?

Edit: Downloaded track again and now it works, weird because before it worked in single player mode but said track missing in multiplayer.

You should not have to use CM..GW, that is just what I use ....just the normal UNZIP method should have worked, it did not for you?

I think for the Drag and Drop install you do need the full version.   I was a late convert to CM but now I could not race without it... worth every cent of a donation to use all of its capabilities.

I just don't use CM, because from what I can tell nearly every problem with people having trouble with cars or tracks  is caused by CM or the shader patch thing

I am the stupid one  :o :P

At some point they updated the track and changed the naming.
I have an akv8_albert-park and an akv8_albert_park (note the underscore/dash difference).
I can't remember which link led to which version, but it looks like the most likely culprit, not CM.

It wouldn't matter if CM raped me burnt my house down and framed me for murder, it would still be better than using the Kunos launcher.

I did that, because p/stracker doesn't like the dash.

CM is worth it just for the shaders patch.

Can't see how its hard to press play in Steam.

I did that for a year and wasted six months waiting for it to finish loading and the other six months trying to close the thing!  >:(

Literally, you can start, close and reopen CM twenty times in the time it takes the Kunos launcher to start and close.  ;)

The other reasons for using CM are manifold and overwhelm any problems with using it by orders of magnitude.  8) 8) 8)

I would suggest you practice some race starts, the first few corners on cold tyres are very tricky :o.
