Let's try these cars out as a candidate for next season.
Cars: http://assettomods.com/transam-legends-2-0-march-2020/ (http://assettomods.com/transam-legends-2-0-march-2020/)
Track: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/goodwood-circuit.17228/ (https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/goodwood-circuit.17228/)
Lap times: http://52.63.217.129:50041/lapstat?currservers=acserver2
"Overweigthed, undersprung and big muscles with thundering V8’s… This is AC Legends Trans Am racing! Overcome the big inertia, dial in a little slide and drive with your feet to dance with the cars…
The best drivers in the world fought fiercely in every race, providing competition and action that has never been equaled in any other race series. All the iconic pony cars from 1966 to 1970 are ready to race.
Although sharing a lot of components, each car has it’s unique driving character due to different track/ wheelbase ratio’s, weight and suspension geometry. All cars share same engine and tyre compound. All the cars are very competitive to each other making the mod very suitable for league racing."

These should be pretty fun, I did a few ai races with different cars at Pukekoe a couple months ago. Some cars have the ott loud external exhaust noise though.

Hey Guys, could someone tell me the trick if you can't see the server. I've tried CM and native AC.

The server might be down. They sometimes stop it while the Thursday races are on.

Sorry Rob, should be good to go now. :-[

Thanks Seanus

I don't know what they're up against as a 'candidate', and I don't care.
These have my vote.
(as long as I can drive the '70 Firebird)
8) ;)

All I can say is Boaty McBoatface 8)

They're currently up against nothing :)
So long as the mod is "good enough", it's in.

Seems like they're all pretty close, would be cool if we use a mix of period correct trans-am circuits and some aussie muscle car masters types.

Are you suggesting we use Goodwood Wet? :P

Meadowdale, Bridgehampton, Riverside & Willow Springs are period correct US (surely they must have raced Trans-Am at these in some form). 8)

That was a lot of fun, after trying a few cars I think I’ve found a favourite but as I’m going away for Easter I’ll jump into the series at round 2.

I'm happy to start the season a week later, to move it further away from Easter.

It took me some time to get used to them. First race was a mess...and racing with a cracked windscreen was a pain. R2 & 3 were better, but Bueller is in his own class...I can't compete with that...quite a spread out field around me...apart from messy R1, no close racing. I tried the a few cars last night after we finished...yeah, they all float and bounce a bit differently.
Wally said, they're pretty much like GT3's, but I think he was lying...

These are fun to drive, when you get a decent run out of a corner but the guy in front is slide ways and still pulling away, ear to ear grin. Since the dart and the 65 pony I could get mid 23's I've chosen the AAR cuda because I'm about a second slower in it and so far no one else has picked it.

That's very kind of you Wally.
After trying several different cars I kept heading back to the lighter and less powered '65 Pony. Not because it was super quick but more because I felt I could get it to turn and then slide it out with the throttle. What I learnt last night was that downshifting at the appropriate time is critical to getting these things stopped without swapping ends.
-
I was slowly getting used to getting on the gas before the apex to help the throttle turn the car.

Do we have anything happening tonight Wally? I know the season doesn't start till next week
