Nope. Works for me. Pretty easy to just drag to correct car skin folder.

Sorry for late notice but I have just found out I can't race tomorrow night. Pretty disappointed since I just got into the 1:09s with some help from insomniac and marty tonight! Based on the couple of practise runs tonight the racing should be pretty good.

I realise you need to check it out yourself but I have the DK2 and it is still not good enough to replace a proper triple setup. Resolution and clarity still not there yet. Great fun to play with though!

I'm after the immersion primarily... if I were to get motion sickness then it would be an even better bonus  :P
Immersion is immense with the Rift playing LFS.

That is so awesome to hear, I can't wait for the final product. Any idea when they finish it?
I reckon it is more than a year away (my guess only!). They just showed a prototype of a new version that may not be released as a DK version. That could be the beginning of the formal development path for the consumer Rift.

Your lose the disconnection between your G27 wheel and the virtual wheel. They become one and the same.
That's never a problem; just turn the on-screen wheel off.  It makes little sense, anyway, when you have the real one on the desk... ;)
Bird, what I was saying was that when you are "in the Rift world" you cannot see the physical or real world and therefore you must have the "on screen" or virtual wheel turned on. Also, you need to turn on the "on screen driver" to see "your" arms. It is weird at first but in the VR world you look down at your virtual body and the virtual wheel and arms become your "real arms". By losing the disconnect between G27 and the onscreen wheel I mean that you end up only being aware of the onscreen wheel since it is the only one you can see. It is in 3D and your brain begins to move that wheel directly. The hands you see on the wheel become your own and you begin to simply drive the ingame car in the virtual world as if it were real.

I'm in the 1:10s but realistic laptime is 1:11s in the Elise S2. I just lose the front-end. Need to learn over-steer driving style. Understeer washes off too much speed.

- I'm on hold upgrading my PC until I see what the DV2 Rift looks like... when I get it and when it works with AC  ::)

I've just got a DK2 and while they are amazing they do give me a 'strange' feeling. Something akin to motion sickness but very slight. Just a bit uncomfortable. They are ok to wear weight wise. However, the clarity and resolution is not yet good enough. Also, one thing that I did not expect was that they are difficult to get a clear, focussed view. Ultimately, you will need prescription lenses in them to be really effective I think.

The one thing that is amazing is the actual driving experience. It is way easier to drive the car since there is no sensation of lag or delay. I drive with the steering wheel and driver arms visible in the Rift and I end up believing that I have driving gloves on. Your lose the disconnection between your G27 wheel and the virtual wheel. They become one and the same.

Even when AC gets Rift support back I will not use it full-time. Just occasionally, maybe in a race every now and again. Triple screen will still be my preference for a long while yet.

Seems the handicap is working quite well was fun running some lap with Dick and Guy. Dick was more on pace and the 3 of us were fairly close. I was able to pass guy which doesnt happen all that often and dick was pressuring us both.

Dick still needs to understand how to race nice with others but I predict he will do better and so be involved in accidents further up the pack this round then just hitting those at the back of the pack like he normally does.  ;)
I think Dick learnt "nice" from you and guy  ;D 8)

I came last in the 3rd race if that helps :) Perhaps that should have been a DNF since I only completed 1 lap. Got hit from behind at the last corner and ended up going the wrong way without realising it :( got sent to the sinbin!! Pretty confusing...
