Its close, lots of positions could change this last race

if the track is no good we will use Sandown or Snetterton

May have to reduce restrictor for this round Phil, atm I am 3s faster per lap than Bacchulum ;D

That's the best I can do (scared piss out of myself in every braking zone :o )
Even made up time under the rail line and over the bridge, but the speed trace shows the story.

You're gonna be mighty lonesome with 100% Phil.

Being the last race of the season why not go with no restrictor or BOP

Good idea. Let the fast guys loose. And why not also do no qual with random grid.

This track is as unforgiving as Bathurst is, if you have watched any of the Bathurst 12 hour you will know what I mean, the best drivers in the world get it wrong often :o . I would suggest some practice at least, with a setup that gives you stability under high speed braking. I think the difference in lap times between the fastest and slowest with no restrictor will not be great , most of the time you are under full throttle . The main object is to do laps with no errors , any excursion off the track will not end well (hay bales and guide posts are solid concrete) :o. A cautious driver could well do a Bradbury here 8)

I very rarely do a qualifying lap anymore but that's what it was, and I quote:
(scared piss out of myself in every braking zone :o )
I certainly won't be doing that in the race!
Roo's right, keeping it clean will be more important than pushing the limits.

I have found a hole in the track. If you hit the left hand wall of the tunnel you fall into a hole.

I think I will change to Sandown, I am also open to track suggestions

I would like to keep this track, to me it is more of an iconic Australian track than Mt. Panorama is :)

I'd like to keep Longford too.

And the fix is done.

Holes filled
AI is much better
Pop ups/ins are less (Let me know if you catch any)
Pitstops enabled
Horizon fixed
Tyres at corners are now solid
Marshalls now show a green flag instead of red!

Very heavy track, if your system struggles you can rename/delete 'crowds.kn5'. Will help albeit very slightly. (sTracker may throw up a mismatch? which it has no right to!)

Skip qual with random grid would be nice. Also, could we instigate a safety car process for those who will inevitably crash. Will give them a chance to rejoin the tail of the pack.

The crashfests that have been predicted on Thursday nights do not seem to eventuate  :) :) :) ( high standards of driving and not racing for sheep stations attitude probably helps). With this in mind I was thinking 10min Qual, 10 laps 1 st. race and 12 laps 2 nd. race reverse grid, this track is not as demanding on the driver as others we have raced in this car. These lengths of races should also allow the natural order of things to eventuate 8).

NB this reply has been sent using a WIFI hotspot as my NBN FTTP connection is down, I am just hoping it is fixed before tonight.

My suggestion was not about there being a crashfest rather that it is quite easy to miss a braking point and end in a paddock or wall or whatever. If that occurred in a real race there would be a safety car. I realise we will have no damage so that minimises the delay caused by a crash.

I agree about missing a braking point. I do not think they were using safety cars back when these cars were racing, I always like to relive the actual conditions of the day if possible.

Congratulations Bacchulum  on the championship. It's a nice one to win I think in memory of Bruce. I hope everyone enjoyed it.

Also well done to Wally with second in the standings :)

Shortly after his victory Bacchulum has these words to say to the press

Bacchulum has said securing another championship is an achievement he is enjoying equally as much as his first. Speaking after the Longford race he declined to make any further comment on the allegations of tax avoidance made in the Paradise Papers.

“It feels good walking into the paddock as a world champion,” said Bacchulum who also said he had received more than 300 messages of congratulation. “It feels like the first time. I don’t know why, but it feels so fresh and so new, it feels great.”

Since taking the title Bacchulum has been one of the high-profile personalities identified in the Paradise Papers; the leak revealed he avoided a $6.3m GST bill when importing a private jet. His team have stated that the matter is in the hands of his lawyers and he would make no further comment. “My team released a statement and I don’t have anything else to add,” he said.

“The championship doesn’t really change anything except that you have the number one next to your name. I am still a racing driver at heart and I have lots of fight left in me.

Well done Bacchulum

Well, kinda, but not really.
It's an A380, so less a 'private jet' and more a 'mobile, flying night club'. ;D ;D 8)

Quote from GTPlanet, nice to know.

I love Longford. It's sad that you can't drive the entire circuit anymore, since the bridges are all long gone and a major highway was plonked right on top of one of the best parts of the circuit (viaduct). Fair to say I was totally blown away when I found out the old Longford circuit was available for AC. Being a Tasmanian, it's easy to get used to the rest of the world not knowing a thing about this place, so finding both our 2 permanent closed circuits, and our greatest ever historic street circuit, have all been made for racing sims, is a pleasant surprise :). My 77 year old father had a gigantic grin on his face when he saw me driving old Brabhams and such at Longford. He said it's exactly how he remembers it, so that's mighty high praise for whoever made the track.

That's interesting comments about Longford.

Baskerville is well worth a trip too I think,  The layout is very cool how you can park your car and sit in it if you like and see the whole track from the viewing areas
