We ran this in Netkar ??
Thought it seemed familiar.  Good fast track...

Not a bad night for me.  Ran high aero just in the hope it would stay attached to the track!
R1 Got away clean behind the faster guys and tried to hand on for a few laps but soon found myself on my own in 7th where I spent most of the race.  Things were looking good but I dropped a wheel on the grass braking in to the 2nd last corner and was off letting 3 cars through and got home 10th.
R2 Similar story as R1, but a few laps in I had Grat chasing me down.  It was going well until we had a small touch at T6.  From the replay I might suggest Grat locked up a bit on entry which sent him straight on tagging my right rear.  Lucky for me I got straightened up and kept going.  From there I got home 9th.
I ran 12 lap first stints in both races but found the need to conserve the revs a bit to maintain enough fuel.  I actually ran out in R2 whilst in pit lane and only just made my box.
Bad luck to Grat with the contact, but a good nights racing.

Apps / Re: voiceattack

not an app but might be handy, especially if you use an Oculus Rift

I used to use this in rfactor days.  You can set it up to voice control things like pit stop, lights etc etc.  Then you just speak the word and the action happens.  Haven't tried it in AC though..

Yes, the MX5 is a different beast, with an advantage at this short track. It will be destroyed at longer tracks though. Your challenge,  should you choose to accept it, is how to deal with an MX5 on the track. Blitz it on the straight then defend into the corners? I find the RX7 very taily though, needing gentle throttle application in the corners. The Skyline corners much more on rails, with its 4 wheel steering. Perhaps the Skyline would be a better car against the MX5, at this track anyway.
Nothing wrong with a bit of david v goliath  . . .

AE86 and the time attack Supra impressed me the most.  The R34 is a bit unusual in its handling, doesn't like to turn to much.

This App seems to have fallen over with the AC update, however the is a 1.1 version out that restores it.  (Same link from below)

Fitting into option 3.  Ferrari/Lotus is this car http://assettocorsa.club/mods/auto/mclaren-m23.html#en
The Maclaren M23-5 has very similar specs to the Lotus and would expand the choice.

I think overall the racing is pretty good but the contacts could be better.  I got 11 hits in race 1, none of which came from the front of my car.
The other races only slightly better.  A number of the hits result in a pass being made (let's call it Push to Pass) and at times also let others fly by in the process.  Inevitably with such close cars people are needing to drive to the limit but a little more patience would be good.

Is it better than mini-apps?
It has everything mini apps has, but adds the gear display and pedals display, all in one HUD. So far, I like it.
Nice... good to have everything in one spot..
