On TeamSpeak, a few people said they were getting game freezes for a second. I've been getting them for 3 or 4 weeks now, once a race, where the visuals stop, but the sound continues, and suddenly the game wakes up with your car about 1 second down the road.
Who else gets this? Or has just started getting this? If we can get enough common evidence together, I want to post a thread about it on the support forums.
I have Windows 10 and an Nvidia 980. I guess that's all that's significant, OS wise. What about others?

No problem here win 7 GTX 960

I have always got them, more or less, so probably it is not the same thing. It is either a sudden freeze of a second or a very slow stuttering (like two shorter freezes) for a total of a second. Typically it is in the first few minutes (2? 5?) after starting a practice or joining a server.
I am Win10 Nvidia 980 as well.

I used to but it was helicorsa causing it before I jad AC on an ssd
-
I'm getting it also just recently. Win 7, Nvidia 1060.

I haven't had any issues: Win7 GTX980ti

I often get a freeze early on in the game, win 7 Nvidia latest driver (older card ??? )
I have narrowed it down to:
immediately starting game after bootup
If I have time, task manager displays steam or ac using a lot of cpu doing IO
I work around it.
I have reset the memory sticks, graphics card and this has removed the earlier and additional bigger problem, of blue screen or CTD.

I sometimes get micro hesitations, but only for the first few laps on a new track I think.
Win 7 GTX 970

Win 7-GTX980
Haven't noticed it but like Joe I have AC installed on an ssd, so maybe thats the difference?

I know this has been mentioned before but has everyone who is getting this issue tried turning off all of the apps. I believe apps can still run in the background so you need to disable them all in the settings menu.

I've reapplied my CPU thermal paste, and that brought the loaded temps down about 20°, from 80° to 60°. The "safe" temp for my CPU is 72°, so hopefully that makes some difference.
