Off to Belgium.
Weather Forecast (http://www.myweather2.com/Motor-Racing/Belgium/Spa-Francorchamps-Circuit.aspx) (long range outlook is cold, 10 degrees and quite a strong SW wind). This means a pretty strong tailwind at the very fast turn 18, so you might lose a bit of downforce there. Conversely, quite strong downforce coming out of Pouhon at turn 12.

We might need to figure out how to get MR ratings on the practice server. I've been taken out by so many idiots driving backwards!
(My theory is there are players being paid by other game developers to make Ac multiplayer look bad, what other reason can there be for so many idiots?)

Yeah was hoping not, and it's good to have more people on the server, quite a few have been from Aus, but there were also people incapable of driving. I did a 10 lap race yesterday and was taken out on lap 9 by somebody who'd just joined the server and was trying to block me then took me out.

So bloody slow here, my setup sux balls, been doing laps with Andy450 and with same areo i am like 5-10 kph slower than him on straights, not my throttle, i checked :0 just cant figure out the setup on this at all and how folks are cornering so fast in it, mine just spins if I try and push

With the same aero, it can only come down to corner exit speed. Maybe gearing too?

I ran some testing on 2 setups with the same aero but differing suspension setups.
One gained time through Eau rouge (even though both were flat) producing a 5kph gain by the end of Kemmel.
The same set was quicker through Pouhon and Paul Frere as well but slower in the twistier sections.
So it's not just aero that effects top speed. ;)

Here's my time compared to fastest time setter Andyo450. He's killing me through Pouhon. I wonder if he has more aero than me? Probably, as I have more speed up Kemmel Straight.

Then I upped my aero a bit, and got a closer "shape" to Andyo, but he's still got 4 seconds on me.

Its been a while since I've been 4 seconds off the pace. Worst is it does feel like I'm driving well, no major mistakes and close to the limit but still the laptimes is on the 59's.
The only hope I've got is that there is going to be a huge pile up in Eu Rouge between the leaders. ;D

his aero is 15 front 12 rear

Gearing is a big deal on this car you need to be on the limiter to get the most out of it, and the wind plays a big part on that.

The practice server wind changed and it is now the other way around with respect to wehat Wally announced. That is, we now have a fast kemmel and lots of downforce on the last braking zone... just saying... ;)

I love the weather factor,it really spice things up for everybody especially the wind.I can get into the 58s in a lucky lap,i have tried and did few laps this time but thats it, i give up,i am ready for tonight. :-X :-X
I would love to show Joe that i am not a grandfather yet....and tonight is the night.

Thanks to Phill I've managed a 1:56.6.. It's a long way off WR but I'm reasonably happy with it ;)

I've been on some 56s but didn't get any. Had low 57s.

Well I would mind Wally, seems Joe is already too fast for me and with Grat in warp-drive both Freezer and me is going to have to finish ahead of you to avoid falling behind in the teams battle ;D

Well, I seem to never finish both races,... and even if I do, it seems there are at the very least 3 drivers faster than me here, so I would say you are safe.
