Sorry, I've simply moved it to the generic channel - I wanted to make it a news item but it was too long and did not have time then and there to look up what was the method of instructing SMF to split the home-page portion out, so I just left it there.
Apologies, lack of time and maybe bad judgement.
The refresh rate is a bit of a personal difference/preference thing.I haven't had any problems ultra wide yet, most modern games are on to it, I think the biggest issue was that some in-game ui would look stretched but the game would run fine. I came across a website that had fixes for this type of issues so I don't think it's a problem (so far, never had to use any), could be if you run some older games. The games that don't support the wider resolutions probably don't support multi monitor and you'll have black bars on the side, no drama we watch movies like that on our tvs.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying; each to his own
The refresh rate is a bit of a personal difference/preference thing.
Some people can genuinely see the difference between 60Hz and higher refresh rates, but a lot cannot. I'd actually check it out first before pulling the pin - unless it does not matter.
The other important aspect is usage. There's no single great solution for everyone. I prefer screen real estate, and I hate curved screens... hence my 43" 4k montior. But I've used triples before, and for racing they're quite good (side-by-side). Sadly the triple setup is not the best for anything else. I also detest having only 1080 pixels vertically, I can't even fit an a4 page on it.
Each to his own, I guess.
Edit: oh, and the issue with the widescreen setup, is that a lot of games don't like that kind of unusual aspect ratio. So again: it all depends on usage. Altho if you've triples, at least you can change the config to use a single screen.
I reckon it'd be a good idea to migrate to discord, TS has not been playing nice and having something else as backup isn't working too well - people don't install it.
So move over to discord officially & leave TS as backup is my vote.

It was great racing, gents, I enjoyed harassing Rob - great job in the Vette, mate! - I was always so close but my racecraft is a bit rusty.
Shame about that accident with you guys back there Wally & Humper, it'd have been a lot of close racing with you trying to bite my arse

I'm happy in any car, don't worry about it
oh god, now a choiceparagon drive copy, too
Will feel nice when all done. Nice clean install running smoothly.
You know what this reminds me? Good ole' win95 times. That had to be reinstalled yearly to keep running.
Win7 is still the winner if you ask me. I just don't think they'll be able to save this mess they call windows10, there is just too many things that seem fundamentally wrong with it - privacy & security wise as well.
Whereby comes the question; why don't you reinstall windows 7, since you have to start from scratch anyway?
I usually have to re-start it after starting it up once, otherwise I get the "chipmunk" effect (I'm sure some of you still remember that.)

Have to concur - a lot of fun and excellent to see a couple of old-timers make a return.
I think if it's zipped up instead of being a thousand individual files, you can d/l it without hassles - even from google drive.
Also, dropbox is your friend
