Hardware & Reviews / Hard mounted my T500RS« on: December 22, 2016, 01:07:21 PM »
I got sick of the wobbly, loose desk clamp on my T500 wheel, and finally decided to hard mount it, but keep it removable. I've threaded some long bolts protruding down below the base, drilled a couple of holes in the desk and can tighten wing nuts underneath the desk. It was nice and fiddly - I basically had to take the whole thing apart to get some long bolts down from inside the interior metal bracket. But now it feels nice and solid - no more pushing the damn thing back against the edge of the desk 2 or 3 times a race.

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / The 2016 "What would you change?" thread« on: December 10, 2016, 12:01:42 PM »
Now that another year draws to a close (2 and a half years of AC racing already!), here's a chance to say what you'd like to see for Tuesday night racing next year. Is there anything you'd like to try, do differently or don't like currently? I don't mean what cars you'd like to drive - we already have a thread for that.
It's a conversation; ideas will all be listened to, some but not all may get implemented. 718

Here is a video from race 3, I was going to make one from race 2 but it looked like a general pub server race at the start from my vantage point, so I picked the one with some better and clean racing apart from the dodgem cars at the front on lap 1. 720

[Marty's post]
Here is a video I made from race 3, which is probably my worst performance so far lol but I guess best to put it up and show what happened. Key points in the video, First half of the race failing to pass Jeremy 7:15 Matthew passed both me and Jeremy after I hit him in the straight, maybe a bit of a late Max type defensive move but there was still enough room to go right and stay on track so I wasnt exactly squeezed. As Jeremy ran deep into next corner after the contact I didnt want to take advantage of the contact and stayed behind. This let Matthew pass us both. 10:00 Guybrush assisted me past Jeremy. 10:30 hit Guybrush as a nice thanks to my team mate. 19:30 contact with Jeremy at the last chicane on the last lap. I was a long way back and not really trying a move on Jeremy, seeing he was mid track he also needed to brake harder for apex which made him slow more then I expected. I was trying to hold inside line tight with Guybrush outside, the door was closed pretty hard and no room so I went left onto the curb then jumped into Jeremy to repeat the move on Guybrush. |
