Oh yes, the good ol' soapbox!
Or is it the replica?

Edit: nah, it's the soapbox.  Love that rumble, and man isn't it easy on the shifter...! :D

Bummer.

Guys, I can see the FAbarth pulling forwards;  but just think about it: it's too forgiving.
It's not a car to learn new tricks with, it's a car to get sloppy with.  You can get away with nearly anything.

I don't recommend it at all.

Think of it as a start though, learning to get to grips with this as a training car (as it is in real life) before graduating to the likes of more advanced open wheelers.  There's plenty of time to work our way up to that Exos S1 and perhaps by then we will have Spa and some other good modded tracks :)

I see RSR have announced a Formel 3 mod and are working closely with one of the teams.  That might be a good next step after the Tatuus.

But that's the point; it's not as good a learning car as the F1600 was in nkp, it has wings and lots of setup options, and - most importantly - it's extremely forgiving.   Nothing like the F1600.

Definitely yes, we had heaps of fun in nkp on the better community tracks.     But quality is the name of the game.  I hate to drop through the ground just by running wide :D
Eg Aosta is not a bad conversion by any means, it's all there.

But then again, if we keep to the built-ins for now, that's good too. We haven't quite exhausted the combos yet. :)

I was just about to mention the taatus.  Very forgiving, but not overly fast.
But on the other hand, without bump drafting it's a bit of a hassle.
Maybe put the '49 in for one season, drafting won't to much harm and that one really requires you to work with the car.

Did you tell her the price includes trailer?
I don't think that'd have made a difference...we still have half our mortgage to pay.  It's a bummer.  Friggen house!  Nah, I love it, but still...

I was going to propose backup your steam game directory then start install - this is in fact how you can migrate or backup things with Steam.
Weird issue, though.

Assetto Corsa / Freejoin on practice server
« on: June 27, 2014, 01:29:05 PM »
You need Freejoin to get on the practice server (this way anyone with the password can join, reserves included)
Here it is:
http://www.kegetys.fi/freejoin/

Installation is as simple as it gets, unpack the files in your steam/steamApps/common/AssettoCorsa folder

You can backup some file there (in readme), but it's not really necessary; you can always ask steam to validate your installation, and that'll replace the file(s) that were changed.

You'll probably have to re-install this app after upgrades to AC.

Freejoin: (and I'll create a thread for it, too)

Let's hope they solve this joining-shenanigans sooner rather than later.

IRL you can share pits...remember the V8s.
In fact IRL you can use a paddock to store the cars until the race.  You can do anything, right?

Actually putting the praccy server up with freejoin isn't a bad idea IMO.

I kept trying to get a run on the inside out of the hairpin, and kept mis-calculating Wally's speed...  He spun every time, very nicely :)

have you tried to put the reserves on the praccy server, see if it works?  I mean we'll never practice all 24 of us at the same time, it may work...
