Setup may need looking at but it seemed unique enough, character-wise to be fun to drive. It should also produce some fun, close open-wheel racing without the challenge of the fast open-wheelers.http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/metalex-mtx1-03-v0-9-8.30257/ Logged AJ Full Member Posts: 503 Karma: 7 Re: Season Ideas « Reply #2 on: February 05, 2016, 06:27:34 PM » Those cars are pretty cool. Had a short run with them at a small LAN I was at last Saturday. Unfortunately the rest of the guys there are more into more modern cars, but I really enjoyed them. The idea I had was maybe some kind of mixed classics series. For example, after some testing with the AI, the following cars seem to match up pretty well (they're all within just over a second around Barbagallo):DeTomaso Pantera GT5-S '71 http://acmodhub.com/cars/detomaso-pantera-gt5-s/Mazda RX-3 GT '72 http://assetto-db.com/car/mazda_rx3_wkmodNissan Fairlady Z 432 S1 '69 http://assetto-db.com/car/nissan_fairladyz_432_s1BMW 2002 Turbo '73 http://assetto-db.com/car/bmw_2002tPorsche 930 Turbo '78 http://assetto-db.com/car/porsche_930Ford Mustang GT 390r '67 http://assetto-db.com/car/ford_mustang390Pontiac Trans Am '69 http://assetto-db.com/car/pontiac_trans69Dodge Demon 340 '71 http://assetto-db.com/car/dodge_demon340Could have a limited amount of each available and have a random drawing of who gets what. Just a thought. Logged Bruce Global Moderator Hero Member Posts: 3440 Karma: 76 "Look out, I'm comin' through!" Re: Season Ideas « Reply #3 on: February 06, 2016, 08:25:02 AM » wow, good work AJ. We've been disappointed before with models that do not have 'proper' physics implemented for AC. I'd be keen to give them a shot. A testing night could be the way to go, then everybody can give them a drive and give their feedback and we can scrap the shit ones (or all of them if necessary). I'd be keen to give them a shot. When you try them I'd be interested in what everyone thinks of the fronted turn-in. Seems to really turn-in suddenly. Is this realistic. It has a rear engine with a big wing at the front so maybe it is because there is no weight relative to frontend aero and mechanical grip that makes it do that? I've just had a bit of a drive in each of the cars, and apart from the Nissan, Mazda and BMW, they all feel a bit...plastic and cookie cutter. The muscle cars have no front end feel at all and not much body roll, which just doesn't seem right, and it's almost impossible to get the back end out in the Porsche without resorting to kicking the clutch.
