how about this?
Derek Speare Sequential Shifter
http://www.virtualr.net/derek-speare-sequential-shifter-first-look

Made from 6061 aluminum alloy using CNC machines, the shifter is designed to resemble the shifter found in V8 Supercars

The shifter measures approximately 19″ in height and weighs about 6 pounds, DSD estimates a street price of around 750 dollars once it will be available in Q4 2014.

...... (which dicks about with the inner ear).
you're welcome!

But that's dreamin'.
Next step is Occulus Rift. 8)

I wonder about new screen(s) or Occulus rift.  but there is a few of questions about eye fatigue. and if they are uncomfortable.  Would like to be able to try them for a few hours.

EDIT.. i've derailed the thread!  8)

in summary, I think immersion is what gear shifting is all about. There is much to discuss about how, and the depth of said immersion..

Thats a sequential shifter which is a long way from a proper mechanical H-shifter. Its basically a cool looking digital switch using real parts but sequential is sequential and in those paddles or the g25 shifter in sequential does much the same thing. I cant see me spending money on something like that unless you had a full pro setup but that would be the last thing Id get.

Agree, if you're going to use sequential you might as well use paddles, IMHO.

2+2=√16
