What are You talking about Bruce? You are one of the best!

I probably could have said it better obviously, but the series needs a good balance of cars, and the 599
is the odd one out.

122
Get rid of it

Was nothing but a pain in the #%@ most of the time.

I seriously couldn't believe a car that quick in a straight line could be such a dog in the corners.

It was hardly a successful night for me in terms of race positions, but I felt I made some driving improvements at least.
The BMW felt horrible to start with, but I think it was 50/50 setup and me needing to change my driving style.

Race 1 better forgotten, but race 2 I was doing alright until the kerb threw me into the wall, in that flat out kink before the last
turn. I must admit I was impressed how the bent bonnet was vibrating due to a now dodgy wheel alignment.
Can't remember who but I hit someone having a moment later in the race, think it was a racing incident.

Visually this game is fine, but it is still let down by 2d looking presentation in the Menu's. It's a shame there will be no
Wet weather as we had a blast in Netkar pro with that. Will be interesting to see where it's at in another years time.

See You's next Tuesday.

Please add me Wally

Actually I should have said that I have a subfolder under every skin folder for every colour.

126
Wally, can You please update the original post so that it says "Eastern Daylight savings time". QLD unfortunately is the only state on Standard Eastern time all year.
If You are a bit adventurous update it with current times for all states.

127
This is a great idea, however, according to my folder structure there should be a subfolder for every skin, so I'll pass on this until it's properly sorted. If not then no big deal.

128
Do you have a decent computer, though?  I've heard someone mentioning a 6600 the other night...and that's like a living fossil nowadays.

This is a living fossil. In all seriousness though, my cpu is 4 1/2 years old, a i5-750@3.85ghz, and copes no problems, but I think it's time You retired that Q6600 if You can afford to.

Last night was the best Yet for me in Assetto Corsa, although the fastest car was really a bit too quick considering that I had an easy time carving through the field in Race 1. Even some spins and I still managed 6th.
In hindsight should have dropped to a slower car for race 2, but thrashing the field is a rare thing for me so I enjoyed it regardless.
Race 3 should have dropped 3 levels of car instead of 2 but had a fantastiic dice with Peter for the last 5 laps or so and made a pass to win with about 50 metres to go.

Don't know how I keep missing these announcements, but please add me to the last place available Wally.

Please add me Wally, at least I read this before all slots filled up this time.

It's really nice racing in such a large grid and Assetto's beta multiplayer code is pretty good for a beta I reckon.
My performance was a bit better last night, although I'm struggling with the braking a bit.
I did some googling for G25 setup Tips, and found a post suggesting setting the brake between
20% and 80%. Standard is 0-100. Hopefully that will help the oversensitive braking.

Between rfactor 2 and Assetto I would say Assetto is better in the graphics department. Assetto's menu system and
the setup screens and apps is pretty ordinary at the moment. Yes it functions but it's like something out of the early
2000's in its look. The audio has a long way to go too, but I did read that its being completely rewritten.

Rfactor 2 is better where Assetto is bad and vice versa.

Not a whinge as its well and truly beta at the moment, but I am looking forward to each improvement.

Many thanks Wally

Sorry for my absence here lately, You sure can miss a lot in a week.

Please add me to the reserve list Wally.

My faithful AMD HD5850 video card bricked itself after a Sat night Lan game session for no reason whatsoever, I just
managed to unbrick it by performing surgery on the actual eeprom chip that holds the bios information.

So as long as there isn't a full grid of 24, I'll be there next week.

The wire reset the eprom, so after booting into Dos (Yes DOS mode) I cut the wire allowing me to reprogram it. And yes there was
a heatsink attached during the operation

Assetto Corsa / Re: Start time for season race nights
« on: May 29, 2014, 07:02:15 PM »
The problem with 7.45pm is for us poor Qld'ers that don't get DST every summer because of real people
that complain about cows getting the time wrong, curtains fading, and other stupid reasons.
The only legit excuse is that You don't want another hour of sunlight in the Summer due to heat.

What I was getting at is that means 6.45pm which is too close to dinner time.
