My internet's out... The server's up though, for Barbagallo. I'll see if it comes back, otherwise the server will be stuck on Barbagallo.

I'm thinking, just for the hell of it, of some kind of points scoring system for fun tonight, where you get more points the more you finish ahead of someone. I.e. it is an advantage to finish with a bigger margin than only just beating someone.
Kind of like 100 pts for the winner, and then the rest get a percentage of that depending on the gaps to the winner, so second place might get 99 pts for a narrow loss, or 80 pts for a more decent margin. I'll invent something for S&G. 7083

Yes, like when you can also pass the checksum but drive at a different elevation if you have a different track version!

No worries GB. It's time to look for another job. Mobile pot refurbisher, perhaps?

Marty, I moved these posts here, as they will just confuse things for non-admins.
Also, I corrected the surfaces.ini in my download pack, to make them identical to the KS tracks, as some of them were a little bit out of date. 7087

I always just edit the files manually anyway, as they don't really change that much for league nights, and manually upload the few surface.inis to the server at the start of the season (or when they're updated).
I reckon the server should be able to handle it without breaking a sweat, but for sure we'll have to monitor it. With dropouts etc, I don't really think we'll often have more than 24. And yes, we'll use the ”smaller” tracks in future too, for sure. 7089

I ran a Silverstone server ok. I just manually put in the config track in the config ini.

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Season 10 Track Downloads« on: January 10, 2016, 03:15:44 PM »Do these all work properly with checksums and all, there were issues with the original Zandvoort layout. It would be nice to have rounds at the tracks we dont run often too such as Zandvoort, Magione and Vallelunga. The season could actually run 1 round at all official tracks which would be pretty cool I think.Yes, they will. The extra layouts have the same surface.ini as the original track. The early Zandvoort he did just had a file name error, where he had an extra character in a file name. 7092
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Season 10 Track Downloads« on: January 10, 2016, 12:08:31 PM »Hey Wally, do we over write the existing track folders? It just adds an extra layout, so the original track is untouched. 7093

Please re-download version 1.6 from the opening post. All I've changed is to turn off penalties for speeding in pits.

We'll be using OSRW modded track layouts (from the AC forums) to allow up to 32 drivers in each race. They don't change the original tracks, they just add an extra layout that has more pit boxes. But RSR times, PBs etc will be recorded against these new layouts.
I've bundled them all up in THIS DOWNLOAD. Unzip it into your Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsafolder. This also means that there will be no reserves - everyone can race! 7095

The clutch pot should obviously have had a lot less wear and tear than the throttle pot. It's pretty lousy that Logitech won't provide replacement pots. |
